Is this GL4 or GL5? Is it suitable for a scooter rear hub? Vespa advises GL4 only for rear hub.  Thanks

I have a 2000 mercury 175 outboard what do I need to change my lower unit oil?

You need •(1) High performance mercury gear lube Quart 32oz.(it's blue)..•(2)lower unit fluid pump(Get a decent one).•(3) Buy replacement lower unit fill/vent washers. (mercury s are blue and flat,but they might use o-rings on motors now.not sure)Remove the cap on the gear lube and slide the pick-up tube from the gear lube pump into the quart.go slow so you dont spill.then screw that onto the quart of gear lube  .it will screw on the threads where the cap was removed(That way you can leave it on until you need to use aagain).Lower the lower unit down and level.doesnt have to be perfect.Now using Med flat head screwdriver remove the bottom drain screw. (Make sure you have a catch pan for old fluid to drain.)when you remove the bottom drain screw check that you remove the washer.normally it is on the screw but it can also get stuck on the screw hole.clean off metal particles on the magnetic part of the screw.clean it off.put new washer/o-ring on it and put to side.Now remove the top screw(vent screw) and the gear lube should start coming out much faster.find old gasket/o-ring,clean off screw and put new gasket/oring on it and put to the side.Now screw the tip of the fill hose into the fill hole(the bottom screw).now,pump,pump,pump until you start seeing the blue gear lube coming out of the top screw hole (vent hole).once gear lube starts coming out,stop and put your vent screw back into lower unit.now get your fill screw ready with washer on it ,unscrew the fill tip and as soon as you pull the fill hose away.... immediately put your fill screw in the hole and hand tighten as far as you can.then using your flathead tighten it up,and then tighten up the top vent screw.leave pump installed on the quart of hearlube and put up for next year.wipe down lower unit,dispose of old gear lube,and after your done go back and double check the tightness of both screws.
Side note: if when changing gear lube the old lube as it drains smells like burnt almonds.Change it out again in 3 months.Then you can get back on a once a year lube service.when old lube smells like that it means it was in too long and burnt/broke down.so you want to change it out again sooner than normal service just to be sure you get all that old contaminated fluid  flushed out.
☆Hope this helps you or anyone else out who is looking to save money and do it themselves.

Is this blue in color

No - just received it.  Disappointed - why is it so difficult to find premium gear oil that is blue-green in color.  What I did not see on the label for units below 75 hp.  Since I cracked the seal not sure I can return it.

can i use this on a 190hp sterndrive?  Mercruiser I/O sterndrive for outdrive gear lube?
