It's Not Just Cookies: Stories and Recipes from the Tiff’s Treats Kitchen

Fun read and great recipes!
As a fan of Tiff’s Treats, I was excited to be invited to read and review this book early. This book started at the beginning - Tiff and Leon in college and her baking him some cookies as an apology. What started as that simple apology turned into the thriving business it is today. Throughout the book they take you on the ups and downs of making this business work. There were many points in the beginning that most people would have called it quits. But they persevered and somehow it all worked out. I found their work ethic and company motto very inspiring and I loved learning about all the good they are able to do for the community. As a bonus, there are cookie recipes sprinkled throughout the book. If you've had a Tiff's Treats cookie, you know they will all be good! :)This book truly was "not just cookies". It was so much more and such a fun read.

Good cookie recipes; good UT story
Liked the cookie recipes & found the life story woven through the book interesting. It was especially interesting to me that they started out as University of Texas students and have successfully grown their business since then.

Story is great, recipes are bonus
I love Tiff's Treats cookies. I bought the book initially for the recipes. I couldn't wait to start baking some of my own. I did not expect the story to be as good and as interesting as it was. I felt like I was back in collage with Tiff and Leon. Once I started reading I couldn't stop. I read the entire thing in one day.The story of the beginning of such a wonderful company was warm and inspiring. It makes you feel one of the family and teaches you to never give up on your dreams. And it is able to still be entertaining while doing all of this. I would highly recommend this book to be on your summer reading list. You won't be disappointed.

It’s Not Just Cookies!
I preordered this book in October 2021 so that should tell you how excited I am to receive this book today! I had the honor of reading a preview copy and I really enjoyed learning about their journey to success. This book is an easy, interesting read and I enjoyed it! There are some yummy recipes in the book, as well, and I can’t wait to try them. I’m so impressed with their story of how their business came to be and how they’ve become such a huge success. Very inspiring and they are proof that the American dream does exist. I’m a huge fan of their warm cookies, too!

Good reading, or listening (on audio).
I did not know anything about this place because they are not located where I live. The store behind their store was educational and learning the history behind how they got started was heart warming. Just so happen we did travel to a state where there was a store and had to try their cookies, and they are great. This book could become a movie, it has all the right elements for a love story.

Autobiographical cookbook?
If you’re not fortunate enough to live in a city that has Tiff’s Treats, I’m sorry, you’re missing out. I’ve been a customer of theirs for years, so when I heard they were publishing a book, I preordered it right away.I’m still not quite sure whether this is a cookbook with amazing recipes and pictures, or a really cool autobiography by the founders of Tiff’s Treats, or a self help professional development book with some baking tips thrown in. Regardless, it’s a fun read, and the recipes are clear and easy to follow. I made a batch of chocolate chip cookies as soon as my book arrived. I didn’t place them far enough apart, but they taste great. Practicing to get them just right won’t be a hardship. My daughter gave both the raw dough and the finished cookies two thumbs up.

Way Better than I expected 🙌🏽
The book is great! Really when I bought it I was interested in the amazing recipes. I started flipping through those first! First thing is first. Then I stopped towards the middle of the book and started reading about Tiff and Leon struggle to conceive. Something about the way it was written, so raw, no embellishing words, it felt like I was listening to them describe their situation. After that I started the book from the beginning like a normal person 😂. Wow! What a story! Felt their pain, their joy, excitement and at times the fear of starting a business! I would say my favorite part is Tiffany and Co piece! That’s awesome! Such a huge company felt the need to ask you to change your business name! I would recommend to anyone looking for a great recipe book, but know it’s so much more than just that.

A Must Have !
Tiff's Treats has always been one of my favorite cookies here in Austin. Great memories generate whenever I eat one of their delectable and ever so delicious cookies. When I heard about this book, I knew that I had to purchase it. It's such a great read, with easy to understand recipes, what I love most is the stories that they share about their family and motivations to continue their traditions. It just warms your heart, as much as a warm cookie of theirs. This is the perfect gift for a cookie lover!
