Happy Gardener
I purchased this greenhouse to resolve several problems in my local area from hungry animals to shorter growing seasons in the NorthEast. It has only been up about a month, but I couldn't be happier. Arrive it good condition (well packaged) and quickly. It was a snap to assemble (about 30 min) by myself, but I do have quite a bit of experience building things. My husband helped my put the cover on. I think it would have been extremely difficult to put cover on without a second pair of hands since it is one piece and the two of us needed to position it at the same time (one on each end). It's lightweight, the two of us moved the whole structure easily. The construction is pretty solid. Both plastic and metal frame are quality. I have seen some pretty flimsy frames on the market, but this was strong steel. The plastic is clear with a reinforced mesh which makes it quite strong. The window vents are velcro and seal nicely. (critical for ventilation otherwise it would get too hot and humid) Inside I built a large (4'x7') (3'x8') combined "L" shaped raised bed and also brought in a raised cedar planter (2'x4"). I bought the 8 x 10 and was glad I did. It was just the right size. Not too big - not too small. We have not had any great winds as of yet, but do get some pretty windy days with storms. I was concerned about it blowing over so, bought cardboard tubes from Home Depot and dug and poured cement footings and then anchored the tent feet with masonry screws - it's not going anywhere! It's only a month, but so far my plants are happy and healthy and growing strong in their new little home. Can't wait for the first fruits of my labor. Well worth the investment so far and with this crazy weather, I feel like my little garden is well protected. PS: One reviewer mentioned that they folded the tent flap at the base under - this was extremely helpful to me since it also helped seal off tent as we have snakes, mice, etc. All sits on a bed of gravel which allows it to drain well, and soaker hoses with a timer help to water it. As far as price, not bad for what you get!Update: Dec. 2012. FYI - Looking back. Held up well through season, however a few things to point out. I took down just before Super storm Sandy, because I was worried about large objects or branches tearing it. Was going to take it down anyway to protect plastic from cracking. Came down quickly after scrubbing it clean with a deck brush and stores easily. Plants continued to grow through the fall and was still getting produce because it stayed warm inside during the evening hours with the flaps down. It did extend the growing season for a while, but Sandy (Nov) was looming and I had to say goodbye to my flourishing watermelons, herbs, and peppers. Things that I would change in the design on this tent to make it better (and will do in the spring myself) Use a tighter mesh screening for the windows and add a panel of tight mesh screening over the doorways with velcro on edges similar to the windows. This would allow you to keep the door flaps rolled up and add more air circulation into the garden area while keeping critters out. This tent gets very moist and I think this would help to control the moisture levels. It was difficult to control the molds or mildews on the zucchini plants with so much humidity trapped inside at times. However, still love it and would buy it again!!Update Dec. 2014I live in NJ and mine are used as a greenhouses during the spring/summer. (roughly 7-8 months) I take them down about mid fall to store away till the spring.I put up two years in a row no problems and was a little disappointed when by the end of the second year the screens ripped and rotted away. By the third spring the screens and bungie tie downs both rotted from the sun. Seams have pulled a little but are still holding together. Zippers and doors also still in tact. Plastic is still in pretty good condition which surprised me but this may be because I do not leave out in the winter. Steel frame is amazing - a little rust but still going strong.I put it up again this spring for the 3rd year now. Did not want to loose the money I invested into this tent, and have no other way to keep my garden safe from all the critters around. How I resolved the problems: I ordered a roll of bug netting (UV resistant up to 5 years) and snap clamp pvc pipe clips to clamp netting to the steel frame over the OUTSIDE of the tent. I cut out the window screens that rotted and stretched the netting from one end of the tent across lengthwise to the other and clipped the screening over the windows area (slightly larger then window hight) with the plastic clamps at each end. Three of these on each side holds the screen tight against the tent. I only had to do this on one side of the tent so far since the screen is still in tact on the side which does not face the sun. Then I ordered a roll of bungee chord - took out the old disintegrated bungie on the old ones and made new tie downs. You can also order additional bungie tie downs at amazon to replace. My guess is that they will last about a year. Could not find anything that is UV protected and I searched high and low. Yes there are additional cost to this (minimal for me) but it is one way to extend the life of the tent. The solution of re-screening, clips, and new bungie/tie downs held well over this past season. The netting I used looks like new. It is not fabric but rather some sort of plastic screening that I found on line from a greenhouse supply company. I plan to roll this up and use the same way next year.

Instructions lack clarity but Great Greenhouse for $$
We ordered the 10' x 20' greenhouse and set aside a Saturday morning for my husband and I to setup. Everything arrived in great shape. All the parts and pieces were there including two extra bungee cords. Let's start with the instruction manual: TERRIBLE, just as other reviewers mentioned. I expected it since I read the other reviews before buying it. As another reviewer stated, use your common sense to put it together. That's what we had to do. It definitely took a few tries but we were able to get it all up and done in under 3 hours. Make sure you know the grommets on all the plastic pieces need to be facing the interior, so all the bungees will be inside the greenhouse. Oops! I wish the instructions would tell you how to orient the cover BEFORE you get to the bungee-ing the sides part. I assumed the cover went on with the grommets facing up because the top stitching on the fabric is on that side. I'm an avid sewer and that's how it is with everything else... this was not the case here. The cover was a tight fit but definitely do-able especially after taking the other reviewers' advice about not tightening all the way until after the cover was on, etc. The velcro along the side vertical bars is a little awkward because it doesn't reach to go around the bars themselves. Not sure if that's how it goes because it's not in the directions. But I just velcroed both lengths from the inside of the greenhouse and it seems to fit fine. When you are bungee-ing the side walls it helps to anchor down the cover on all four posts by inserting the little hook on the fabric into the holes in the bottom of the leg posts. It helps keep the cover in place as you tug and pull to get the bungees on... and you will have to. We have it anchored down with some concrete blocks on the outside for now and it still seems very sturdy. We get a lot of wind here and it isn't going anywhere. The height (9 ft) inside is excellent. Love all the openings with the front & back zippered flaps and 3 windows on each side. This will allow plenty of air circulation in the hot summer so we'll keep it up as a permanent structure for our use. The plastic is thick and reinforced with that white netting. P.S.- Don't use a sharp utility knife to cut the box open or you may cut into the plastic cover. Don't ask me how I know that. Overall, great price for the quality of the structure and we are very satisfied with our purchase. I have some seedlings ready to go in.

Easy to put up
I purchased this Spring Gardener Gable Greenhouse 6 x 8....Easy to put up...But came with poor instructions...Looked great when put up...Frame well made...Heavy like plastic covering...Left the Greehouse up through the winter bolted to my upper deck so it would not blow away...Problem when spring came the plastic cover did not hold up...Splits in the plastic and netting on windows was breaking at the seams...Looked like it had gone through a Hurricane, and we didn't have one...My upper deck is in back of my house and Greenhouse was put there because it does not get much wind because of house breaking a lot of the wind...Frame still there...Plastic now taken off...So, I just have a bolted frame to my deck...Really don't want to purchase another cover from Spring Gardener only to have the same thing happen to it as it did with the first...So NO...I would NOT recommend this greenhouse...Save your money....or if not and you do purchase one....You will have at least a nice Frame for something by the end of the season.....
