I am really amazed at how wonderful this product is. I like to bake, and alot of the recipes call for melted chocolate. I used to use the microwave to melt it, but often the chocolate would get too hot and burn through the microwaveable dish and smell up my home. I also tried using a double boiler and it just took too long and the chocolate got hard really fast when it was no longer on the stove top. Hence, I ordered the Chocolatiere Electric Chocolate Melting Pot. It came extremely quick (as does everything from amazon). The product is extemely compact and easy to store (big plus for me). I'm able to melt 10 ounces of chocolate in about 5 minutes. While that is longer then the microwave, the chocolate never comes out burnt and becomes so liquid and velvety. It's incredible beautiful to see. And the handle on the pot makes it easy to pour the chocolate into my recipe. The pot is very easy to clean and I don't burn my hands on it like the double boiler. In addition, the recipes comes out so much more tasty using the pot for melting chocolate vs. the microwave. While the main reason I purchased this was to melt chocolate for my recipes (mostly brownies) the product also came with cute accessories like fondue forks, chocolate molds (hearts, bears, squares, ovals, etc), a cooling rack and some other accessories, which add to the value of the product. Overall I'm extremely pleased with the product and it has been a huge help to me. I would buy it again!

I used this melter to make chocolate candy over christmas. It really makes life easy because you can re-heat the chocolate easily which is not the case with a messy double boiler. However if you are tempering chocolate, you have to keep a thermometer handy and make sure the temperature is not too high, since even at the lowest heat, the machine heats up too high for proper tempering. If you are careful, and a little patient, this machine is great. The cup is quite small, but I just keep adding chocolate chips as it melts, that makes sure that the temperature of the chocolate drops, and i melt more chocolate at the same time. Its really a great machine and makes chocolate making such a pleasure. The molds that come with it are pretty much cheap useless plastic, so get your own molds if you intend to make chocolate candies. The spatula is small and feels cheap but is useful to get all the chocolate out of the cup. The drip rack is also useful, since it reduces the damage to the chocolate coating when you dip fruit for example.

This melting pot is a child's toy at best. It is way to small to heat any decent amount of chocolate, it's not deep enough for dipping without having to be too careful touching the bottom. It's going right back where it came from and I'm ordering the Wilton melter instead which is what I wanted to start with but for some reason I ordered this and when I received it I thought hey let me try it and see if I like it well it was a fail. I did not like it at all, I dont' know what all the rave reviews are for, this is definitley not for the professional home baker or even a regular home baker who wants to make cake pops for whatever reason, it would take you forever to melt the amount of chocolate you need to cover a dozen cakepops with this melter. I would suggest this product if you just want to have some quality time with your child and want something fun to do. They even give you kiddie utentsils, that should told me something right there! Another reason it's going back is because it cost more than the Wilton!

I bought this to use with my cake pop maker to make dipping easer, OH boy do I love it. I reviewed several styles before choosing this one, and I am very happy with it, you can take the pot out and clean it in the sink, really makes for easier cleaning. The pot doesn't burn or anything even when left on for hours at a time. I love love love it!!

The product itself seems okay. Its a Christmas gift so it hasn't been used yet, however it arrived in a box that had clearly been opened before. It was likely crushed under other products. The box was torn and caving in on almost all sides. Not too impressed. Luckily, the box isn't the product so we'll see how that turns out. Just isn't great when giving something like this as a gift.

It does exactly what it is supposed to do. I put in the chocolate chips, they melt and then we all dip our fruit our fruit and it is wonderful. Convenient and easy to clean.

aluminum is not the best utensil, so dont waste you money in this although it does melt the chocolate you might as well do it on a double boiler on the stove

One of my best purchases. I have made several chocolate dipped desserts with this. Easy to use and easy to clean. Heats chocolate nicely and keeps it warm. Very pleased with this purchase!

Love the product, frequently used it with my grand kids. Just wish the container would have been slightly bigger.
