food‑plot seed mix for anyone serious about improving deer habitat.
This clover mix did exactly what I expected: it attracted deer quickly and provided a reliable, high‑protein food source. Once established, the plot grew dense and green, even under repeated deer browsing, and seemed to support good herd nutrition and regular deer activity on my property. The seed is well formulated.

Not clover but alfalfa seed??? You can even see this in other people's positive review photos???
These seeds are trash if what you want is clover, because it is not. You can even see that what grows is not clover in other reviewer's positive photos??? So I suppose some people are just happy to have ground cover or food for wildlife then this fits the bill. But if you want actual clover, look elsewhere. (See photos for what did grow) I ordered this to use to fill in a big empty spot in my backyard where a damaged tree had been removed and there was loose dirt surrounded by lawn and my garage that needed something to hold it down. I didn't want to do sod and figured clover would grow in quickly and help the lawn fill in the rest. The seeds started growing right away which was nice but I quickly realized it was NOT clover when it started growing well over 4" tall seemingly overnight. Having used clover to fill in bare spots in my lawn before I knew immediately it was not clover. I am a city girl and know little of plants, but I do know what clover looks like so I used AI to help me determine what type of plant this was when I noticed how tall it was growing. Apparently it was some type of alfalfa. Again, if you're just using it as deer food or to keep an empty field from becoming blowing dust, this might not matter to you. But if you're planning to use this amidst a lawn or in a more high traffic area where taller alfalfa would be a problem then I suggest looking for another brand. It did grow some clover, but I had to go and pull up all of the alfalfa between it by hand (you can see there was a lot from my photos), which in the summer heat was less than ideal. I wound up buying more clover seed at the local hardware store and while it was more expensive, all it grew was clover. I know it is logistically impossible to have just clover seed in a bag and expect that there will be some errant seeds despite best efforts, but it feels like this bag was mostly alfalfa with a touch of clover.

Not as advertised..
I assume what is in the product is ok, however, this is marketed as a perennial. While it does have some (approximately 30%) if you are wanting a heavy perennial clover plot, this is not the product you want.

Not Happy With Results
I have a cell trail camera at my hunting spot. Before I put this stuff down I had bucks, does and turkey right by my stand. As soon as I laid this stuff down, poof, gone. Didn't see anything for weeks on end. Finally some are starting to come back around. I think it was the coating they use on this stuff. I will not be putting anymore of this stuff down. Cannot recommend.
