Horrible SWR on 2m and 70cm
So far so good, just got it today.. fit my UV-82 fine.. but not my GT-3TP, I have to modify the base of antenna, the first 1/8 inch or so.. just used a little bit of sandpaper to make the diameter just a touch smaller.. didn't have to take off much and now it threads in my GT-3TP as well. Haven't tested performance over stock UV-82 antenna or the sain sonic inf-641 that came stock on GT-3TP as I literally just opened package, but I will try to update this after some testing and add feedback about it's performance.UPDATE:Ok, now after having this awhile and testing it's performance, it is worse than stock UV-82 antenna and worse than stock GT-3TP antenna. The only performance gain you get it the slightly more antenna height.. but if you stand on your tippy toes your stock antenna will out perform this antenna. Testing the SWR on this antenna is 2.5-2.8 on 2m and 5.7-7.5 on 70cm. I also tested with adding a wire counterpoise (19inch for 2m and 6.25inch for 70cm) and got slightly better SWR, but still not even close to the 2 stock antennas on the baofeng radios. Maybe I got a defective antenna.

Don't skimp, the counterfeits don't work
This is a very good antenna. I get excellent signal reports when I use it. I bought a counterfeit at 70% discount just to compare it with this, and nobody can hear me. lol. It was night and day difference, almost as if the wire isn't connected but Rx is fine. So I definitely recommend getting an original.

Much better range.
This came recommended by other members of my 4x4 club for the greatly increased range they provide. We've moved to a Baofeng radio from CBs and this helps in the areas where we might be down in coulees or on ridges above and out of visual range of others.

The Nagoya 771 brings out the best of my radio
I am very happy with this product. It allows me to receive FM stations on my Baofeng UV 82 handheld where all that I would hear is static using the stock antenna. Because it is flexible and well-made, I can move around freely without breaking it or worrying about stressing or damaging the part of the radio that the antenna is connected to.

Legit Nagoya
Authentic Nagoya NA-771. Got it for my Baofeng uv5r. Had bad luck in the past with the blue logo chinese crap on amazon. SPPQ is legit made n Taiwan Nagoya.

Increases range for a Baofang HT radio
This antenna increases the range from the supplied antenna for the Baofang HT radios. The antenna is longer so that can be bad in some situations.

Definitely an improvement for my Baofeng radios. My son ...
Definitely an improvement for my Baofeng radios. My son and I took them out recently on a backpacking trip. Worked very well when used with a remote hand mic. No issues. Sound investment.

Genuine, works good!
Came exactly as advertised and works well. I did my homework on making sure this was a genuine product and it passed the test on all counts.
