What chess board is suggested for these pieces

I would recommend getting a 2.5 inch square chess board that you fancy. Smaller than 2.375 will make your set look crowded and tight. The king base is 1.85” . Rule of the thumb , the king base should occupy up to but not more than 75 % of the square, At least that's what I was taught. Hope this helps!

Do the black pieces come in ebony (black) color, or only the dark brown?

Black is brown, not a real dark. White is a cream color. Beautiful set!
