Tektalk Jigsaw Puzzle Board with Puzzle Dustproof Cover Up to 1500 Pieces (Khaki)

This has worked well for keeping a puzzle in process safe from my cat. Of course I still cover it with a blanket so the cat cannot see individual pieces and try to claw through the cover. The mat is nice and large for larger puzzles, keeps pieces and completed puzzle in place. I like the cover as it is easy to fold up when not needed, and works well keeping unfinished puzzle in place. It is a bit pricey for what it is, but seems durable and should last a long time. There was no assembly required.

I was looking for something to keep the cats from messing with my puzzles that would also give me the ability to move the puzzle. This works perfectly. The cats sit on it all the time and so far have not made a single mark with their claws. The top layer is a thick vinyl, so it should continue to hold up nicely. I have a 1000pc puzzle on it in the photo and you can see there is plenty of room to do a 1500pc, maybe even 2000pc depending on the actual dimensions. The puzzle stays in place when you carry the board around. Obviously you cannot turn this board vertically or your puzzle will fall out. It is designed to be used horizontally only.

I have ordered two of these, in different sizes. Great quality materials. The felt surface keeps the pieces from sliding around, and the plastic cover protects your incomplete puzzle between work sessions. The plastic top is soft enough to easily maneuver it over the base without scattering any puzzle pieces. Excellent tool if you have to put away your puzzle from time to time.

This puzzle board is sturdy. Where I have it it overhang's the coffee table 7 inches it doesn't bend. It has ample room to work on a 1000 peice puzzle, up to 1500 peice puzzle. I like the fact I can easily rotate the board. I see it as an investment price wise. It's on my Christmas list to buy for family members who love puzzles and need to maximize space.

The most important thing in picking a puzzle board or mat is the size. I chose this one which is 26” x 36” and I’ll explain why. 20” x 30” is standard and a perfect size if you want to move it around or have a small space. HOWEVER, the ads say 20x30 fits most 1000 piece puzzles; this is not true. If you want to buy your puzzles by the size, then that size will work. This photo has a 20” x 30” puzzle on it. But for me, I am a new puzzle aficionado and do them while I’m listening to my business podcasts, which has been great. But it’s frustrating to get 1/4 through a puzzle and find it will not fit on 20“ x 30“. Then you have to slide it off and put it on a table. This puzzle mat is 25.9” x 36”. So, essentially 6” bigger on 2 sides, or an extra 3 inches all the way around. It’s really too big for my apartment and for carrying around. BUT I did a lot of comparisons and decided I’m willing to have the bigger size so that I can fit any puzzle on it. I bought a trifold foam core to keep it more stable because I move mine around a lot, in and out of an elevator, etc. The flannelette cover is nice to the touch. The pieces stay in place but you can also slide groups of them around. I am delighted with my purchase after a month of comparisons! I’m saving the box because it will be a nice place to store it if I want to put it away for a certain amount of time.

This was a great purchase! Most of the puzzle boards don’t allow you to easily slide the pieces around. I Just finished first puzzle w this. Get the bigger size for 1000 pieces. I did 750 piece and had nice room sound the edges. This is very well-made and sturdy to pick up and move. It is also not super ugly. The cover is very well made. I can cover the puzzle to keep the cats from stealing pieces. It may have a few dents from where I pushed the pieces in, but I can probably steam those out if they bother me. But that is a tiny thing. A good purchase I would highly recommend and get the big size it is very well-made.

The nonslip padding on this board is actually no slip at all if it wasn't for the fact that while assembling my very first puzzle on this board the nonslip cover ceased to be flat and instead grew hills and valleys making it almost impossible to get the puzzle pieces to stay together. I don't know how well you can tell but both pictures show how the covering has gotten very loose. I have this 1500 piece board and the 1000 piece board and both of them have had the flannelette cover become extremely stretched and loose. Both boards are now virtually unusable as it's almost impossible to assemble a puzzle that can't lay flat. Save your money and find a different board - I know I will be!
