Insufficient steps for a child to learn to draw
It's a learn to draw book but lacks enough steps to actually learn to draw. There are basic shapes to start animals but those jump to (great) finished drawings without enough intermediate steps.There are good examples of how to use light and shading but I think it expects too much of a '7+' audience.The drawings are great but I needed more steps for my (soon to be) 9 year old to follow. Reluctantly returned.

I loved the book
I loved the book. It was a gift for a 12 year old who loves to draw. I am sure he will love it too.

Great choice for young artists!
My grandson loves to doodle and draw but did not have a step by step process to use. This book uses animals to show children how to use shapes to create different animals. He really has enjoyed it.

I got this for my seven year old and she absolutely loves it. It is a bit over her head but she tries and I think I will buy more books like this in the future!
