Mizuno Women's Wave Evo Ferus Trail Running Shoe

Usually, I keep my new shoes exclusively for running until they are too worn. These, I wear every day. They are so comfortable and versatile that I don't want to wear anything else. They are the perfect active mom shoe, taking me from my morning run to running around the playground to shopping without having to change shoes. The bottom is cushioned enough to run on the roads; the tread is secure enough to run through the sand; they are so lightweight and breathable that my feet stay dry for hours; and they fit snug in the heel to keep debris out but loose in the toes so there is no pressure. Above all, I love how incredibly flexible the sole is from front to back. There is no feeling of fighting my shoes to sprint off on my toes or when doing stretches and strengthening, but the sole is firm from side-to-side so that I do not over-pronate.I was worried when I first got them that they would press into my low arches and rub my heels but, after finally taking a run in them, they were perfect. These are my first zero-drop shoe and I did not have any trouble making the transition from my previous Mizuno stability shoes. I had planned to use these on speed and/or trail days and keep my more cushioned Inspires for long runs, but I think I may abandoned that plan on my next long run and give these a try.A note on sizing--I usually buy my running shoes a full size larger. Mizuno's website suggested just a half-size bigger and they fit perfectly.

This is the first time I've ordered shoes online, but I used to sell Mizunos in a running store I owned. They were my personal favorite for running, and a favorite of my customers who wanted a light-weight, barely-there feel to their shoes. This pair did not disappoint for that very reason. Light as air, giving me the feel almost of barefoot running, which I would like to try at some point. These give just enough support for someone like myself who runs on the outer edges of my feet (a supinator). The shoe seems to automatically nudge me forward a little so that take off from the ball of the foot seems more natural. As a former heavy heal striker prone to shin splints, this style of shoe is perfect for me. Take the impact off your heel, and shin splints disappear -- at least for me. One tiny downside was when I wore them without socks, a few tiny pieces of gravel seeped in through the air vents on top of shoe. But because the shoes fit snugly, but very comfortably, like a soft foot-glove, I didn't get any rubbing. Probably will always wear socks on longer runs though. One more thing, the toe box is unusually shaped and very roomy. I usually wear a 9-1/2 in more traditional running shoes, but after reading another reviewer who said these seem to run big, I ordered a 9, and it's a perfect fit, roomy in toe box, but like a second skin at the same time. Really a neat shoe for me.

I ordered these shoes based on the reviews I read that talked about how comfortable they were. I was not disappointed! I bought them for traveling shoes knowing that I would have to wear them all day and do lots of walking. I tried them out yesterday when I spent the day at an amusement park with my grandchildren. I was VERY impressed! I usually do not like to wear fitness shoes for very long periods because my feet get hot and uncomfortable after awhile. These shoes were different because of the mesh construction all the way around that kept my feet cool and comfy from early until late. They also fit so well that walking around a lot was not tiring, but actually felt really good, even at the end of a very hot day! I love these shoes! They are by far the most comfortable fitness shoes I have ever had!

Toe box isn't as roomy as the previous versions of this shoe. The shoe was reinforced so that the big toe doesn't push through the mesh fabric of the top of the toe box, a previous issue, but when this problem was fixed the result was less space for the toes. I tried to wear them anyway, but after 4 months I have given up because of the damage occurring to the joint of the base of my big toes from the now tight space in the toe box. This is tough because over the years, I have loved these shoes so much for the ease and comfort, wearing them daily and have simply ordered a new pair each year and haven't had to think about what to get next until this latest pair that I simply cannot wear any longer. When I first got the new pair, I was so happy that the mesh wash reinforced because wearing a hole into my shoes within a few months has been a pain too... But at least my feet didn't hurt!

Great shoe with a great and comfortable fit. The tread on the bottom is perfect for the trails in my area. Definitely not a cross-over shoe; meaning I wouldn't recommend running on pavement in them. Roomy toe box. The laces slip a bit but if I double-knot them they're fine. You're supposed to be able to wear them without socks but I haven't had success with that. I wore socks for the first 8 miles then on my next 8 mile run tried without socks and ended up with some blisters. Maybe I didn't break them in enough?? Overall a great shoe and I'm happy to have them.

I was a little concerned when I ordered the shoe because other reviewers were talking about either upsizing or downsizing from their normal shoe size. I ended up ordering my regular size and the shoe fits great! I also attached a top view picture since the toe box is wider and I was wondering if it would look funny. However, it look like a very stylish shoe and fits great! I have not taken them off since I got them this morning. I am glad I listened to the positive reviewers! A great, comfortable and stylish running shoe!I have not run in them yet and will update once I get some miles in.

These shoes are not at all what I expected. They are way too low on my ankles, not giving nearly enough support. The toe area is too wide and looks weird. They do not fit like other running shoes. I tried them on and immediately put them back in the box. It was a great waste of money on my part and I am extremely disappointed with them!

these shoes are so comfortable, i don't want to take them off. I run flat and trail in them, they are not quite minimal, but very close. I would definitely buy another pair

Su drop 0 es ideal para la carrera natural, y su suela es muy muy cómoda. Eso si, en mojado no agarran nada.

Reçues très rapidement, on s'y sent comme dans un chausson, je pense qu'il m'aurait fallu la taille en-dessous. Une semelle est le tour sera joué.
