SUPRUS Electric Lighter Arc Windproof Flameless USB Rechargeable Lighter with Safety Lock for Candle BBQ Camping (Silver)

took it to fourth of july, lasted a couple hours of pretty heavy use. battery did get pretty low after a few hours, but it charged back up to 3/4 lights in 20ish minutes. i really like that the battery life is shown. lit all the fireworks and sparklers i tried, so im super sure this is more than enough for regular candles

I ordered this because it’s windy as all get out where I live & I just needed a lighter that I didn’t have to fight with to use. When I initially bought the lighter I thought it was pretty cool, it needed charged after 2 days, I considered that possibly normal. But then it started needing charged nightly & I only use it twice a day! I was not too thrilled about it, but sucked it up. Within a week of it starting that, I had to charge it EVERY time I wanted to use it… now I was more than annoyed. I reached out to the seller & told them I wanted a refund. They asked me to give them a 2nd chance & if I was still unsatisfied they would refund me immediately without any issues (which they would have done either way, but I do try to believe it giving 2nd chances). I received my replacement about a week before I ended up in the hospital, but the lighter was with me the whole time & not charged one time the entire time I was in the hospital & now I have been home for about 2 weeks & it is finally showing it only has 1 bar of power left!! This lighter managed to work for 2-3 weeks without issue or being recharged!!! I also love that they made the power slide a little more difficult to slide on & off because it’s a deterrent for children to play with it!! I am pleased as punch with the replacement thus far, but if I just jinxed everything by writing my review (it seems to happen a lot anymore… I need to just carry a piece of wood with me just to knock on when I leave reviews. Lol) I will happily reach back out to the company & work with them again!!!

Due to the lady of the house, we have candles everywhere. On the larger candles in a jar it is a huge pain to try and light them when they are less than half full. This was the perfect solution. It’s lightweight and charges with USB C in about an hour. With regular use we’ve only had to charge it about once every few weeks. It’s easy to use and kinda fun. Not sure if this would be useful for smokers, but for lighting candles around the house and starting kindling for our grill it has worked perfectly. Five stars!

UPDATE: Customer service reached out to me about this review and let me know that the lighter will not charge using a high-speed charger.i tried a usb-c cord plugged into my computer and the lighter charged up just fine. So, I'm adjusting my rating to 4-stars for the good customer service and that it still works, but deduct a star sure to the slight inconvenience of not being able to charge off my usb-c laptop charger. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I loved my this charger until I needed to charge it. We bought to bring on a trip so we could light little tea candles to freshen up the hotel room and didn't want to pack anything combustible and it worked great. We've since come to use it as our primary lighter for candles at home, fires in the fireplace and the fire pit. It's all great, but now the battery is drained and when we plug it in, no charging light comes on and even leaving it plugged in all night, there's still no charge. The battery lasted for several months, but this is not supposed to be a disposable lighter. I see several other reviews complaining about the same thing, but it's like 20 out of 4,700, so that's not to bad I guess, but we definitely got a bum one. I guess I'm going to try another brand and see if it works as intended (unless the seller wants to send a replacement).

I bought this after seeing a friend use it, and I am so glad I asked for the link. My old lighter was always difficult to use, and I could never get it to work consistently. This electric lighter is much easier. Just press the button and it lights right away. It also looks sleek and feels well made. I have been using it every day, and it has been much more convenient than a traditional lighter. Overall, it is a simple upgrade that has made lighting candles much easier.

This little gem is great I mean compared to those flame generators it's not even fair. The spark is constant so it's always on as long as you are holding the "on" switch. It's not just one spark and gone and you have to press the button again. So you can have the propane volume set low for safety and it's gonna light up nice and gentle. It's a high tech stick, complete with cool lighting indicators. The rechargeable feature means I'm not throwing this thing away - I'm recharging it right in the kitchen with the USB wall outlets. Price is something I had to double take. Such a good value for the money. SUPRUS delivers with this one wish I bought it many moons ago.

I use this to light cigars outside, it works great and charges up quickly

Well, for the two years it worked, it was phenomenal. Unfortunately, it now refuses to charge. The length of a charge is amazing though; I only charged it four times since I bought it, and I was using it sometimes several times a day. I used it for incense and I don't think the prongs are wide enough to easily use it to light cigarette. Candles and incense are what this is made for. The body definitely feels cheap, but the slide action feels well made and sharp, and doesn't stick at all. The prongs are housed in plastic and accumulate soot readily. You should clean the diodes when it gets sooty as it tends to impede the direction of the arc. It lights about as well as a match, taking the same time to light incense and candles alike. If you're looking for speed, go with a butane lighter, this guy's strength is not running out of fuel, not lighting things on fire quickly. As far as the noise, yes it does have the electric whine as all lighters do but it's not worse than any other. The extension and retraction of the prongs have a satisfying click at the end of the slide. Overall, I'd say this is a good lighter, though it should last longer than two years for what it cost. Last thing: it charges with USB c and does come with a very short charging cable. No wall wart though.

Had it for a while, it does what it says and the change last a long time.

Amazing Product

Fantastic lighter. It’s lightweight, and the battery life is long, it holds the charge well. Super convenient and no more burnt matches to dispose of. Very sustainable.

I love this thing!! Why did I not know electric, rechargeable lighters were a thing?? I am a candle fanatic and went through an ungodly amount of propane lighters before discovering this. It’s a total game changer and I will never go back to gas lighters! Works great, charge lasts a decent amount of time. The lighting technique is obviously a little different than with a regular lighter and takes some getting used to, but is very easy and intuitive once you’ve got the hang of it.

Like other reviews, it’s works so well and holds charge for a long time. But after a year it will now no longer charge. Completely dead.
