This is an adorable hat and I think it's good quality for the price. I was shocked that it wasn't packaged better but what I received kept it well enough... although, I had other items in my order that warranted a large enough box that the shrink wrapping was sufficient to hold it's shape so - maybe keep that in mind.It was a little more bent than I preferred cuz of the wrapping but this is supposed to be a "floppy" hat, within minutes outside the wrapping I was able to bend it to my liking and it held...This biggest disappointment for me was the hope that I could slip the band off. My husband bought me an adorable collection of hat bands I was looking forward to using but the band included in this hat is thoroughly glued around the circumference. So, if you're hoping to use this hat as a "blank slate" keep looking... otherwise, I think it's a great buy! Oh, be mindful the fit is a little big. It's not off-putting to me but I'm not sure the strings included would be enough to adjust it. Might want to invest in those little foam/cork inserts that cut the hat down a half size - or grab some paper towels. ;)EDIT: yea, this band will NOT come off so definitely get the one you want. Still a really cute and quality hat at this price point...I stopped tearing off the band before it was too late so I'm still able to enjoy this hat. :) I tried freezing the hat to take the band off but it is glued ALL the way around...

I'm not usually a hat person, however, I bought this gat to cover up "bad hair days"; the first time I wore it out in public, a very nice, middle aged lady approached me and stated she "loved my look!" She had no idea how much that compliment meant to me. I smiled really big and thanked her. My husband still accuses me of looking like Mrs Drysdale from the Beverly Hillbillies. But, I don't care. I really like it. Going to purchase another in a tan color soon.
