New BalanceWomen's 847 V4 Walking Shoe

This is my fourth pair of 847's over the years. They more recent design is somewhat clunky looking...some even describe them as 'clown' shoes..., but that's the only downside, and at age 76 I don't give a hoot. I am a bit flatfooted so am particularly concerned with support. I use them exclusively for walking exercise 4 miles 3-5 time per week. They are very comfortable, stable, easy on my aging knees and hips, and are also long lasting... I replace them every 8 months or so as I tend to evenly wear out the heal. Yes, they look a little like clown shoes but I am sold on them for vigorous walking. One additional comment...they were not only $18 less on Amazon vs. the New Balance Website, Amazon offered an additional color option. Strange, but true.

These are the best shoes I’ve ever worn to help with my balance and walking issues. Due to hearing loss my balance is very bad. I bought these shoes not really expecting much help for my balance but I am pleasantly surprised how well they work! Having a wider toe area really helps me walk better. Love them and recommend them to anyone with walking problems and balance issues. Pink and grey are so cute too!

The second I put these shoes on I knew they were the ones! They were a perfect fit for my feet and the first shoes that made my feel instantly better. I put them on and they made me stand up straighter. I couldn't help it they just made my posture better and made things feel aligned. I have trouble doing the dishes. I am 6'1" and to bend over the sink to do dishes kills my back. Wearing these shoes, not a single issue. I could stand there and do dishes all day lol They are also a very light shoe. Very breathable. Over all a great shoe...Here's the mixed review part. The soles of my shoes are still in great condition but I got these early November, it is now early February and they are now extremely uncomfortable to wear. The insides have worn out so now my foot doesn't sit right in them. It is causing my foot and ankle to do exactly what the shoe is meant to keep it from doing. I went ahead and spent a decent amount of mo ey on some nicer shoes because I thought they would be better and for a linger time frame. At this point I will need to get a new pair of shoes. Really it is quite a deceiving product. The love for the shoes are short lived. I don't have the kind of money to spend this much on a pair of shoes every 3 months. There needs to be a better fix.

I Love these sneakers. I hope they don't stop making this model. They accommodate my wide feet perfectly without binding and are simply super comfy. I don't know how supportive they truly are, but I am very satisfied with this purchase.

If you have wide feet and issues from prior surgeries this is the best shoes you can buy.These are the fourth pair I own. They are a little heavy but after trying others lighter shoes I always come back to these.

Great support for 8-12 hrs of walking on hospital floors!

The shoe is nice ,but they run short in the size. Better buy a size larger than what you wear.

I ordered the shoe in my normal size 7 and when it arrived it felt too small, like my toe was touching the front too much. I returned that pair and ordered a 7.5 size. When I received it, one again it felt small. I returned it and ordered a size 8. That one fit great. It may have been that the toe is more rounded then my other pair of New Balance. I do love New Balance because they are made for people whose feet over pronate. (Turn inside)
