You do not need the rubber ring for a 1988.5 Suzuki Samurai. Vehicle runs cool.

It does fit the GEO Vin U 1.6 engine. Will keep the engine running at the minimun temperature not at the middle like the 82°. Didn't use the seal that came with it, used the old one.

The gasket didn't fit. Ended getting a different one. Geo tracker 1.6l 16v
