Maitys 5 Pcs Reusable Silicone Face Mask Cover for Sheet Mask, Clear

I used this last night over a drugstore cream mask. I have heard of the occlusive effects of a good jelly mask. And wanted something like this to use with all masks to help the ingredients penetrate deeper and work better - retaining moisture makes out skin take in products better. So used this as follows: Right our of my evening shower where I exfoliated with Eminence Scrub (to prep skin), I sprayed my face with the Pilla Stem Cell Mist (to moisturize and prep my skin), applied the Qae Bella Cleansing Mask with Aloe in it, covered it with this sheet mask. And went on to dry my hair - about 15-25 minutes. Then followed up with my usual skin care. Results: Of course the face always looks better immediately after a mask. But what impressed me was how the face looked in the morning. Rested, toned, and moisturized. That has not been happening recently with or without a mask treatment Usually in the morning my skin is dehydrated and the face shows a lack of structure. But not this morning. This morning it was as if I can reverse-aged a few years. I do not think this effect is from the cream mask alone, but the combination of it with this sheet mask. I'm very satisfied. I have a square and wide face. So it doesn't cover my lower jaw area closer to my ears. Ear loops are big enough, but because I had to pull it taut to reach my ears it kind of tugged on my ears. BUT that being said, I think it is that tautness that helped with the results as well - almost like a facial massage/gua sha treatment effect - So I actually prefer it tight. It washes and dries easily. Is sturdy enough that I can use it for many treatments before it might start ripping - if used carefully I think I can make it last for ever.

I liked the mask for after using a serum or if you’re trying to avoid touching your face after a chemical peel. The problem is that the ear straps are really way too tight. The facial portion fits. OK, maybe a little bit small but it really is uncomfortable after a long period of time. In this picture, I use a claw clip and hair ties to keep the straps away from my ears. That’s not practical for sleeping though so I recommend buying a mask extender if you want to use this product.

These are really nice! They are a tad bit tight for the face, my bf, sister, my mother, and I, but they are really nice if u only are trying serum under. I picked these up to see if I could make some specific masks knowing exactly what’s in them due to having sensitive skin and on meds that might react. They really keep the mask, serums, and even toner on very nicely. I even tried in the shower and bath to steam my face, and they have worked really great! I like that it kinda has a chin holder so that if u have a lot of serum, oil, or very wet mask, I don’t have to worry about it dripping. It also is just a tad bit stretchy enough so if u needed to move it in one place, my eyebrows as I have a big forehead, u easily can without letting the rest of it sag and still being tight to hold in place. The material is also very easy to clean before and after use with some simple soap. Overall, I look forward to all I can use this mask for.

I like the idea, and they probably work great for most people, but the were far too small for me. Even after trimming out the marked area around the ears, it is still painful to wear as it pulls on my ears a lot. If you have to twist the straps on a face mask to keep it on, these will probably be perfect for you.

From personal experience, I have reasons to believe there's currently no brand/company that have executed silicone masks concept correctly and effectively. This is ridiculously small and very tight which leads to a massive headache within 5 minutes. it doesn't cover face entirely/properly, the ear loops squeezes the ears and forces it forward causing excruciating pain on the back of the ears etc. I DO NOT AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND THESE MASKS

It seems as if these face masks are only made for one face type/shape. It was super tight on my face, I couldn’t even keep it around my ears because it was making me physically nauseous from how tight it was. I definitely DON’T recommend. (As well there was skin on my face not being covered and the forehead part of the mask wasn’t laying flush on my skin)

The quality of the mask was solid. The biggest problem is that it’s too tiny. Why on earth would the manufacturer make such a small mask? It’s easier to make a large mask and then let the customer cut it down to size. When you start small, there is no room to improvise to make it fit? Or at least have options for small, medium and large faces? SMH I really wanted this to work for me but it left my ears in so much pain after about a couple of hours. I wanted to use it overnight for my slugging nights to not only prevent product transfer to my pillow and linen, but to also keep the product situated on my face so the tretinon doesn’t dry my face out. If you are very petite women or child, this might fit you. For everyone else, don’t waste your time or money.

I ordered these mask and they showed up today. I have a feeling they're going to work great ! The reason why I think so is simple .... Because I have been using silicone gel heel socks for the last 2 months in my severely cracked heels have miraculously healed back to normal in as little as 4 to 6 weeks. Of course the silicon heels in the socks also had certain other ingredients built into the silicon , such as grape seed oil and vitamin e , etc. I plan on using CeraVe underneath my silicone mask and sleeping in it every night for the next 6 weeks to see how my forehead turns out as well as my laugh lines. I do have one question though that I can't find an answer for ?!?! What about aquaphor underneath the silicone mask ? I remember them telling us not to use Vaseline as a lubricant with latex condoms growing up as a teen. I wonder if the same rule applies to aquaphor and silicon mask ?!?! Anyone ⁉️
