Amazing Value and Excellent Performance
I did not want to spend big bucks on a toaster. Four-slice toaster seems like they are a compromise; they don't have the power to produce a good slice of toast. I have never heard of the brand, Cusimax, and I was somewhat reluctant to try it now, but I am glad I did. The digital timer is a good idea, but I wish you could set the timer rather than the whole toast darkness number. This is a quality machine, and the chrome finish looks great. As far as toast goes, it toasts both thick and thin slices of bread, English muffins, and bagels.

First Impressions
I really like this toaster. I haven't had a toaster since, well...ever. My parents had an old one at their house, the kind before the crumb tray. I didn't get one at all when I got married. No toaster and I was perfectly fine making toast in the oven. My mom got a new toaster and though I liked the crumb tray feature, I never bought one. Suddenly, I felt a desperate need for a toaster. Recent major back surgery has rendered me almost useless in the kitchen. I shopped around and liked the look of this one, as well as the features. Here are the pros and cons I've noticed after a few uses. Pros: It makes even toast, browned on both sides. I make mine on the four setting, though that might be overdone to some people's liking. (I bragged to my husband that I now make toast better than Bob Evans, which may be stretching it a bit, though it is good toast.) The stainless steel exterior looks nice and fits in well with my kitchen. Frozen waffles are a breeze and not the hockey pucks I used to make. My favorite feature is the countdown timer, which lights up like a spaceship and let's me know exactly how much time I have before my toast or waffles are done. It isn't described as a rapid toaster, but it is fast. I really, really like this toaster. Cons: As some reviewers have mentioned, the exterior of this toaster does get hot after use. I recommend investing in some small tongs to remove toast, etc., because I forgot, put my hand out to steady the toaster and learned the hard way. (It doesn't need to be steadied; I'm not sure why I did it.) Another thing is the lever isn't made of stainless steel, so I don't know if it will last over time. The price was a small issue, since it cost more than what I had intended to spend, but then again who can turn down spaceship capabilities rivaled only by the bread machine. As far as durability, I haven't had it long enough to say. I highly recommend this toaster. I think it is well worth the price and at the time I bought, was several dollars less on amazon.

My second one ... very good little toaster with digital timer
This toaster is essentially identical to one I bought here several years ago. A good all around everyday toaster with a nice digital countdown that is adjustable and lets you know exactly how much time remains until it is done. Makes getting the perfect toast very easy every time. Looks great and works great. My only regret is that these latter day toasters no longer open on the bottom for cleaning. It's a safety thing, they say. I don't think any being made now are any different, for cleaning you get a pull out crumb tray while the bottom remains closed. It's annoying to me but nothing can be done about it. If you happen to get something stuck down in there the only way to get it out is from the top and that can be ... interesting. Oh well, that's newfangled appliance safety for ya. This is a good toaster, would buy again. In fact I just did. Note, the "brand name" on this model changed over the last few years but it is absolutely the same identical appliance that I got last time. The shape of the timer knob changed a little, and the side panel is a different color, but it's the same, trust me. I used to work for a giant appliance maker, I know how to spot technical differences.

no safe touch - hot toaster
the toaster is fine but i hate how HOT it gets all around. there’s not really a safe spot to touch that you don’t get burned. if you have little kids who use toasters be careful with that and consider a different model with a safe touch.

Great quality!
Fantastic 4-Slice Toaster! I absolutely love this toaster! The timer is super reliable and incredibly accurate every single time. It gets hot enough to perfectly toast any slice of bread or roll. It’s consistent and I can always count on it for great results. One of the best toasters I’ve owned—highly recommend!

Digital toaster, nice stainless look on the front in plastic on the side to prevent burning! Safe!
Love the toaster! Digital dials on each side with settings for light to dark and crispy. Fits bagels. Especially like the plastic on the side so you can touch it and not get burned.

Beautiful and Functional
I looked for a long time looking at reviews and this one did not disappoint. The crumb trays easily pull out. The top is smooth so you can just wipe it down. My last toaster had a lip that caught crumbs and I would have to vacuum it to make it look nice. I did not think I would ever use the defrost function. Boy, was I wrong. I can't imagine a toaster without this option. We freeze our bread to help preserve it from getting stale or moldy. We now take out the slices we want, put them in the toaster and press the defrost button. After defrosting nicely, we push the lever down, select the amount of time we want it to toast and it comes out beautifully.

Not for pop tarts
It was a great toaster until the pop tart incident of 2026. The pop tart slipped down behind the part that lowers. The crib catcher section on the bottom is not open so I couldn't get it out of the bottom and had to crush the pop tart and shake it out. The part that lowers should be able to hold a pop tart.
