Fluval Betta Premium Aquarium Kit, 2.6 Gallon

I love the aquarium

This is the second one we purchased as the first one we got a reasonable amount of time out of before it leaked. This one leaked right out of the box. It leaks where the filter outlet attaches to the plastic divider wall. It spurts water onto the top cover and it drips out down the side of the tank. We’ve twice had about 1.5 gallons + of water leak onto our daughter’s carpet. We’ve put shims in to make the connection tighter but over time everything just warps and the leak starts again. We also moved the cover to angle it so the water just falls back in the tank but it just sounds like a waterfall and is pretty annoying. Silicone would be a solution but every time you change the filter you’d have to redo it which really isn’t practical. We did have to replace the filter motor on our original tank but was not too disappointed as it lasted a reasonable amount of time. Our fish definitely thrives in the tank and we like it hence why we bought a second. I was hoping the loose plastic connection was just a fluke but this one was worse than the first. We will put up with it for now but will be buying a different brand next time

My beta loves his tank. Perfect for my office.

My betta seems to enjoy his aquarium. Definitely on the smaller side, he doesn't seem to swim as much as he used to do in a 5 gal aquarium, but we had to find him his own space because he was hurting his tank mates. The water gets pretty warm (sometimes I wonder if too warm), and the light could be better, otherwise a very nice kit for beginners.The filtering system seems to work great, and our plants are growing rapidly with no algae issues.The lid is nice, but if you have curious cats, I recommend buying a made-to-measure grid cover for the opening (we got one from Etsy, see picture).

Put together well and easy to set up

I don't have much room in my bedroom for a big tank so I got this one for my betta that was temporary in a smaller setup and it would be nice if the light was just a little bit brighter

The media could not be loaded. Fantastic tank for one betta fish and a few snails 🐌

Started to leak on 4th day after set up! Getting a free replacement so going it give it a chance, but if it leaks will be going with another brand and will be letting the usually reputable Fluval company know about their crappy product.
