I recently upgraded my Ender 3 3D printer with the Creality Official Extruder, and I couldn't be happier with the results! Well creality has done it again another great printer upgrade this is made to the highest standards and it a must for upgrading your printer after having extruder issues I decided to upgrade from the plastic one that comes with the printer to this metal one and I was not disappointed problem solved highly recommend

I like it. It works, need to recalibrate the printer to work with it which was hard. I had to run the moto in reverse. It is a shame that ghe design isn't symmetrical so it can't be mounted either way on my printer which is Flsun Q5

Sadly the horribly plasticky extruder that comes as standard with the Ender 3 V2 snapped after a few dozen hours of printing.The plastic cracked around the heat-inset, on the tensioning arm, that is used to hold the drive wheel in place, this meant there was inconsistent tension on the filament so kept getting random under-extrusion during printing. This all-metal (aluminium) extruder is an effective replacement. It is not going to snap,it was easy to fit and just works. It was also a reasonably price, there are other all-metal extruders out there (for the ender3 v2) but they cost more as they come with a bunch of pointless "extra" stuff (nozzles, springs, pneumatic connectors, etc). Basically Creality should have fitted this as standard equipment, it would have added a few pounds to the base cost of the printer but would have been worth it to avoid all the wasted filament and frustration. I am happy with this all-metal extruder.

The parts are miles better then the stock ones but having to now go and get a new tube is a kick to the .... ya know (anyone knows where I can get one that fits lmk)

The plastic tension arm on the stock extruder on my Ender 3 started to break. I noticed because my prints were suddenly really bad quality and I was seeing massive under extrusion. After removing the arm it basically fell apart (see photo) so I needed to replace the extruder. This one is red - colour is mostly irrelevant and is an official Creality accessory. It is also made of metal so should not break up through frequent use. Fitting was relatively straightforward and only the existing tools that came with the printer were needed. One thing was that my Ender 3 had a pressed on gear on the extruder stepper. This looked difficult to remove so I left it on rather that using the new one supplied with the kit (which is secured with a couple of grub screws). This works but does mean the filament is clamped a bit firmer than I'd like, even on its 'loosest' setting as it looks like the original gear is a little bit fatter than the new one would be. I also took the opportunity to replace the Boden tube at the same time as the extruder but that's a different review... So it's on, and it works. No problems other then the tightness of the grip on the filament. It doesn't seem to affect anything though and printing works fine now. Definitely recommended.

So my Ender 3 Extruder is nearly 3 years old and, to its credit, isn't damaged or cracked like I have seen others mention in their reviews, so I had a mentality of if it ain't broke don't fix it. That being said I was having extrusion issues with some filament, which I was blaming on the filament for ages. Finally I thought that maybe the issue was the extruder and bought the metal upgrade and I have seen the light! The difference in the upgraded extruders ability to grip the filament and feed it is dramatic. Best tenner I spent in a long time.

Firstly, it is not a boden tube connector. It is similar, but the two standard sizes of boden will not fit as it is a different size, and not threaded Instead, this is a clip in bit of plastic. It does the job, but not very well Secondly, the whole thing has a tendency to not work. The gear slips, no matter how loose or tight i had it. the bearing would just not spin. I followed 2 tutorials on youtube in case I was missing something. DO NOT waste your time/money on this one, go for the official metal creality part. I fitted the official one in under 10 minutes and it works straight away after an extruder calibration - this leads me to believe that this part is not up to standard and was not the way I had it fitted Again, do not bother with this one, it is only a few quid cheaper than the official (grey metal) version

I was having feeding and printing issues for months and could not resolve it with leveling, slicing, or changing my hot-end tips. I decided to finally upgrade my OEM extruder assembly… and now it runs like-new again. My extruder wheel was so worn out it had a indent right down the middle. This upgrade was quick to install (watch the Youtube video so you know the sequencing) and just looks great overall. All my feed issues were resolved. An amazing value!

Mon extrudeur d'origine en plastique a cassé, certainement par la chaleur émise par le moteur extrudeur sur lequel il est fixé. Je l'ai reçu très rapidement, installation très facile et re mise en fonction immédiate. parfait J'ajoute un commentaire car j'ai remplacer mon tube guide filament par du capricorn, et attention, l'extrudeur n'est pas fileté pour recevoir l'embout à tube, obligé de conserver le clip d'origine, et comme le capricorn est un peu plus gros que le PTFE, c'est vraiment pas simple à mettre... J'espère que ça va tenir dans le temps...
