Fellowes Powershred LX220 Micro-Cut Paper Shredder, White

White LX21M here. First thing you'll notice is you get a LX210 and not a LX21M. The Powershred LX series consists of the: Fellowes Powershred LX200 LX210 LX220. On Amazon.com the LX series consists of different model numbers. These are LX20M, LX21M, and LX22M. The letter ‘M’ is short for ‘Micro-Cut’. It's the same unit, but briefly had me concerned. Of course this is done so you can't request retail stores price-match Amazon since they are "different model numbers". The unit is white, and less prestine looking than I'd hope. The individual parts clearly were handled roughly during assembly, as corners of parts that aren't exposed when assembled are imperfect. The more visible/broader surfaces are generally okay, but expect to need to take a damp cloth to the unit after getting it. Otherwise, it's quiet, fast, and works like a charm. Bag wraps around the back and sides of the bin and pull it up on the front and there's no chance of shredded material not making it into the bag. It's a bit big (about 2.5-3.0ft high) but ate through my backlog of paper effortlessly. All good!

This is relatively quiet for a shredder. Like the white over the black. Doesn’t look so big and bulky. Shreds really well and the bags that came with it make unloading shredding so much easier. Having it on wheels is also nice too! Other shredders we’ve had over heat quickly and we haven’t had that happen with this one To date.

This is a beautiful piece of equipment. It arrives fully assembled and ready to use out of the box. Even the casters are pre-installed. It looks ultra modern and sleek in the white color, almost like a piece of office art. It's very quiet. The entrance mouth is big enough to make feeding paper easy. So far it's working great. Shreds as specified to 4x12mm approx. The waste bin operates very smoothly. I also like the electronics. I had purchased a different shredder from Aurora but ended up returning it. Nothing wrong with the Aurora, but the feeding mouth was so small I had to struggle to load paper. That shredder required assembly and wasn't nearly as sturdy or nice looking. That said, the Aurora is half the price with a similar spec. It really depends on your budget and needs. If you have the budget the fellowes is well worth the difference.

This is a great pro-sumer shredder that handles as much paper as you want to shred. All the other shredders were too noisy or not powerful enough. This thing is a beast! Fairly quiet, fast and efficient

My company offered us an allowance up to $250 for an office supply and this is what I chose. Between junk mail, magazines and other paperwork clutter, it was piling up fast. I went through a stack of paperwork roughly 2 feet high in no time. Went through my filing cabinet and this shredder ate all of it with ease. It shreds extremely small and the bin is large enough and very easy to empty without spilling everywhere. There is a handle on top of the bin that you pull and it comes right out. Some other nice features. - The LED indicator tells you how hard the shredder is working during the current shred run. If it is easy, it is blue, medium will be yellow, medium to hard yellow/red, struggling will be red. - One of the best features is the auto shut off sensor. We have kids and are new dog owners. If a hand, paw, really anything comes within 5 inches or so towards the blades, it will immediately shutoff. I read other reviews that stated this can be annoying, but I disagree. I would much rather have this safety feature rather then someone getting hurt. - The junk mail shredding capability is phenomenal. I have now made it a habit to get the mail, shred the junk and empty envelopes, place the bills on the desk and walk away. Office has been clean ever since. It does come with bags and a little bottle of oil. I just oil it every so often before shredding so when I do shred the oil spreads around the blades. Great value and power for the money and well worth the middle of the road cost.
