The rosewill website says there is an "overheating protection function." does this unit have that function and how does it work?

I have a Cuisinart stainless steel 8" frying pan and a brand new Cuisnart stainless steel 2 qt. saucepan. Why don't they work?

If you are using an induction cook top the pans must be magnetic. If your Cuisinart pans are solid stainless they will not work as good quality stainless is not magnetic.

Can I cook with any pan in it?

No. You can use the pan coming with it.
