Love the Journey!
I bought several and tried them all: Jabra Cruiser 2, Freeway and Journey and the Parrot Minikit SlimMy car has specific size restrictions so the Jabra cruiser 2 and Freeway were too big. My seat hit the unit when it was titled forward for the kids to get in back. So my only 2 choices ended up being the Journey and the Slim due to size restrictions...the Cruiser 2 and the Freeway were nice units that did the job if you are interested in either of them. My recommendation is to buy the newer of the 2 (which I think is the Freeway). I was disappointed with the Cruiser 2's very old fashioned computer voice instead of the more modern simulated voice the other 3 units had. But the microphone and sound from the Jabra units was all great.I liked the size of the Parrot Slim and the microphone was pretty good. But the speaker is TERRIBLE!!!! The best I could do was keep the volume low and it still sounded like I was listening to a speaker from a McDonald's drive through.... I wanted to like it but it was unusable! Plus, you had to turn it on every time you get in the car, which drove me nuts...I simply can not say enough good things about the Journey. It's small, has an extended battery life, the buttons are VERY well laid out and responsive. Most importantly, the microphone is very good (the person on the other end of the phone hears me fine) and the speaker is very good for me to hear what they are saying. I can hear at high volumes clearly even with the windows open. Also, the unit has a 10 minute auto off, which is convenient. BUT, it doesn't shut off if the built in motion sensor detects motion in the car. So it's not shutting down every 10 minutes with me in the car. AND, it automatically turns on when I enter the car without me doing anything. I sit, it announces "POWER ON" and then "CONNECTED" without issue, every single time. What more can you ask for... It's hands free, thought free and does what it is supposed to.And the last little mega-bonus is that with an iPhone 4S (which I have), when you push the voice recognition button on the device, it activates SIRI so I can use my little electronic assistant hands free as well.If you are looking for a little, effective, simple hands free bluetooth system for your car, buy the Journey and never look at anything else! I like this thing so much I am going to buy 2 more so when this one eventually dies in a few years, I'll have some backups!!!!

battery drained too quickly
I wanted to like it, I did. I got a new car with bluetooth built-in, so I wanted something for my wife's car. To make a long story short, someone who keeps their phone outside of BT range of their car when they are at home will probably have better luck than I did.PROS:+ easy to pair phones+ fast charging time+ micro USB connector (nothing proprietary)+ free shipping on amazon.com returnsCONS:- immediately had to download/install new firmware from jabra to get it to work with iPhone 4S. Volume was maxxed out until doing so.- battery drained after less than 2 days of non-use (supposed to be 45 days). I suspect this is because the car is parked in an attached garage within bluetooth range. The phone on the kitchen table was still connected to the bluetooth, so it probably never disconnected.- to get around above item, I tried manually powering on/off when using. Powering on caused the iPhone to start wirelessly playing music though the jabra even though the iPhone was hardwired to the car.- you can't set up a "preferred" paired phone. (or any preferences) I paired both my wife's and my phone. When turning off BT on the active phone (to simulate one of us exiting the car), it took a minute or so for the other phone to become the main phone for outgoing calls.________we are not frequent cell phone users so battery life was a major issue. So, this unit went back and I'll keep looking for something that perhaps uses motion sensors to auto-power-off.

Better than the Freeway and the Roadster
I recently purchased a new car that did not come with standard blue tooth technology. Since my old car came equipped with this feature, I felt lost without it. After searching the internet (Amazon), I purchased the Jabra Freeway, the Jabra Journey, and the Motorolla Roadster 2, because after reading the reviews I wasn't sure which would work best for me. I have an iPhone 4S, and I wanted something with voice activation, a motion senor, and an FM tuner. Out of all 3, I decided to keep the Jabra Journey and returned the other two. This is why; The Jabra Freeway was the most expensive and in my option the worst. The only thing that I like about it was the clarity of the speakers. It didn't recognize my voice, or my son's, the FM tuner worked, but barely. It played over the radio but with way too much static and interference. Had pretty much the same issues with the Motorolla Roadster, except that it did recognize my voice commands. The clarity was weak in comparison to the Jabra Freeway, and the FM tuner was just as bad. I decided to keep the Jabra Journey, even though it did not have the FM tuner, which is what I thought I wanted most of all. I came to realize that I would have static and interference with most of the FM tuner devices, so I gave up on that idea. The sound on the Jabra Journey was so clear and loud that I no longer think I care to have the FM tuner. The Journey also has a motion senor so it turns off and on upon entering and exiting the vehicle. The set up was easy, and it recognized all my voice commands. The Journey was less than half the cost of the Freeway and a little less than the Roadster, and by far the best of the three. So happy with my purchase that I am considering buying a second one for my son's car.
