LayriteOriginal Pomade

Learned of this brand at my barber. There is cheaper pomade out there but this one holds amazing. It smells great. Not to thick and don't leave your hair looking super wet and shiny. And being water based it rinses right out with water and leaves your hair feeling soft.

Best pomade. Easy to use, not too stiff but holds well and washes out easily.

After switching from gel this year I tried several pomades before landing on Layrite. My method was simple: try some store brands and work my way up (cost) until I was happy with one. Layrite hits the mark in a lot of ways, and I’ll stick with it for now.The best thing about it, I think, is that it washes out extremely well and feels extremely manageable without stickiness or greasiness. Some of the pomades (or putties, or whatever) I used were pretty resilient to shampoo and stayed in my hair. This washes out the first time, no problem. Old Spice and Battle Born fell into the category of the opposite.As others have noted, the smell is great. It’s a sweet, light scent that the makers describe as “light cream soda.” I might say cake or something similarly sweet and inviting.I’ve bought two of these now. The first came about 3/4 full at an angle in the jar. The second came full and level, which made me question the value of the first.Layrite is a hit for me, and I’ll be sticking with it!

After searching for hair product to accommodate my hair type and style I've found the right one. I have a gentleman's cut with very thick hair and this does a great job holding it in place. I don't have any complaints about this product and will only list out the pros because of my experience.+it's not greasy! If you live a sunny place you know what I'm talking about. You start to feel like your product is melting into your face and become the shiniest human being on earth. It maintains the hold and no shine effect on your face.+You can adjust your hair or refresh it throughout the day. I'm at work and after a few hours of putting on headphones or hats I need to refresh it. You can easily just add water and you're good as new. It even looks fresh the way you did it in the morning.+No flakes! that's a plus for all men! You've been there where you hit your head on the roof of your car and it creates that flakey look on your head, you go into a rage after taking all that time to do your hair. Well now you could that and not experience the rage that's built up from you being late to work because you decided to play video games all night and had to wake up early and now your wife is nagging you and asks you that question "Who's fault is that" and you want to "shut it!" but you can't because you want to play videos games tonight. - Just an example, not my real life that hits really close to home.+I love the smell! This is subjective but it doesn't smell like Brute or your grandpappy's Old Spice.+You can go the next using the product from the previous day! If you're like me and you're running late because of adulating the previous night then you will love this product. I just add water to my hair, face, armpit and arms and I'm like new! No one knows you didn't shower, I mean no one.

Lay rite is a great pomade but these prices are ridiculous. Almost 30 dollars for a small 4.25 ounce jar come on guys.

My husband is absolutely in love with this hair pomade. A single jar lasts him for months, making it an excellent value for the price. The hold is impressive, keeping his hair in place all day long without needing any touch-ups. It's become his go-to styling product, and he couldn't be happier with it. If you're looking for a reliable pomade that delivers both longevity and a strong hold, this is the one to get!

It worked great, hair lays rightSmells good too. Overall so happy I will buy again. Last a long time because you only need dime sized amount.

It appears there may be some quality control issues with this stuff based on other reviews, but apparently I was fortunate enough to get a good can.I have very fine, somewhat frizzy hair that takes a fair amount of product to control, and a decent sized dab of this stuff works great. The description says to use a small dab, but i’d say my hair needs a large dab to fully hold a hairstyle and keep it in place. I will say I LOVE the smell. It’s hard to describe but there is something a bit familiar about it. It’s almost a slight vanilla smell, but something more. As I’m typing this I’m picking up small whifs of it and it smells great.It’s got the jello appearance with almost a butter like consistency. It is priced a bit high, and cutting a couple dollars off would make it more attractive, but I’ll probably order again.
