Great space saver and organizer
Have used some similar to these for years but somehow they got lost in the last move. These seem to be a bit sturdier than my previous set which lasted years (12 yrs+). They do help organize and save space. They can be used with metal and plastic hangers. One can hold up to 5 hangers so you can organize your closet by color, clothing type, etc. As previously mentioned, they seem to be sturdy so I expect they will last a long time. Great space saver and organizer.

Quality of product must be described more accurately
These hangers can handle light weight. If too heavy items are placed on a hanger, the following will happen:1. The hook straightens out and falls off rod. (plastic is not strong enough to stay hooked with heavy weight.2. The main section is connected to a hook on both ends and will un-snap from the main section and fall off.3. If both hooks are hung on rod, the main section will bend. This item is perfect and inexpensive for light weights; wire hangers, dress shirts etc...Do not use suites with heavy hangers. It will destroy them.I put tie-wraps securing the hook and another one securing the connector and put a lot of weight on each one.Seems sturdy for now. I think it will last. Each hanger has six holes. I used 2 bottom holes for a suite w/pant each, then the remaining 4 holes for a shirt or pant.Way too heavy. "Must" secure hangers with tie-wraps. Seems ok now.The advertisement statement that said "Each Magic Hanger is Strong enough to hold 5 winter coats" is NOT true unless they state "very light winter coats". The plastic bends and un-snaps with too much weight...!

Freed up a lot of space!
2 people sharing a closet is never easy. This freed up a lot of space, I can actually find my blouses now and keep track of how many shirts my husband has (and when to go shopping for more!). Highly recommended. They are made of plastic so I am not sure about durability yet as it has only been a week using them. But its easy to insert hangars in them and take them off.

Eh, some problems.
I had a set of these when they first came out about 15 years ago, and the biggest problem I found back then was the truly flimsy construction. My garments always popped the hooks off the hangers or bent and broke.I ordered these with some trepidation, but hoped the design and durability would have improved since they first came out.Well, I was wrong. They are the same cheap items they always have been. Great idea, in theory, but the hangers are just too flimsy to hold garments other than light t-shirts. The hooks that hang on the closet rods themselves pop off constantly. My advice? Spring for the metal ones. You won't get as many for the price, but really, it might be worth spending a bit more. I haven't tried the metal ones yet, but anything has to be better than what I got.

Okay for lightweight clothes. Not for pants.
I bought 2 sets of these. Liked them, so I bought more. Unfortunately, I had only hung shirts on them. When I hung pants (which are heavier), they fall. The little clips that hold the hanger bar to the hooks open up with too much weight on them. Through trial and error, and a lot of falling off the rack, I've learned that 3 dress shirts and 2 pair of dress pants will work most of the time. 3 pair of pants make it to heavy and it falls. Perhaps this is to prevent you from hanging too much weight and pulling down your closet shelf (though I'd be surprised if that were the case). Anyway, I have ordered the metal type (which I hadn't seen before) and will see if they work better.Add to previous: Got the metal ones and they work fine. No problem with weight and there are 6 slots for hangers instead of 5.

Great for organizing clothing by color or style.
I was so excited to use these to separate my clothes out in color blocks, I put all red hues on one hanger, orange the next and so on. Really makes it easy to put together your outfit each morning once you know what top color you want; just grab that hanger and choose a style. I like the function of this item and would like to buy more.

Horrible...cheap plastic that will not even hold 5 pairs of pants.
Cheap plastic tabs do not stay press fit into the hooks. The product says it will hold 5 winter coats-amazing when it would not hold 5 pairs of pants (not jeans). I watched as the plastic tabs slowly slid through the retainer in the hooks and my pants ended up on the floor. Secondly, the hooks at the top barely fit over my closet rod. Lastly, the distance between the holes should be further apart to actually allow the thick parts of the clothes to not be on top of one another-for example, shirt collars. In the photo I did see this. You can see that the shirt collars are still almost on top of one another, but I thought it would still work okay. Other folks have commented on these issues, but for some reason, I did not read the reviews. My mistake. This is a horribly designed product with even worse manufacturing. My solution? I used swing chain and S-hooks. The chain and hooks cost less and you can hang 10 items without issue and spaced how you like.

Love it
These storage hangers absolutely saved my dorm closet! I mostly wear hanging clothes ( dresses) and my dorm mate hangs her pants. Our closet had like no space, but I was able to hang up 50 dresses and not even take up half the closet!
