The media could not be loaded.  Feel transported to another world and personal and up close with Sita - felt as if I could see everything in her mind! Looooveee the poetry - full of love and with depth! The conversation between gargi and yagnavalkya and Sita’s understanding of it is mind boggling! Loved the game of puzzles between Rama Sita and Lakshmana! The style of writing is refreshing and insightful. The perspective of the difference in Rama’s devotion to Shiva from Ravana’s was interesting. The description of the tidal wave of emotions in each person during the Shiva Puja was really quite thrilling….A very engaging read and thought provoking in a gentle and uplifting way! Congratulations to the author!

Sita : A Tale of Ancient Love is magically written by Bhanu Didi. Seeing this beloved and revered figure from Bhanu Didi's eyes, brings a fresh and feminine perspective to the familiar Ramayana.Sita's courage, intelligence,patience, skill, ability to love unconditionally and to give without expectations are truly an example for all to follow - whether man or woman. Little known facets of Sita's personality have been revealed so beautifully. For example, she was trained as a scholar, a warrior as well as a ruler by her enlightened father. The other woman characters are clearly etched as well - whether Urmila, Mandodadri. This book is fragrant with grace and vivid imagery of the environs inhabited by Sita and the other well loved characters.Sita was an exceptional single mother as is evident in this book - a woman who chose to give the best to her offspring without rancor or self pity.This is a powerful and sensitive narration of a woman who embodied both divinity and humanity; an icon whose strength and courage along with delicateness made life an art for herself and others even in the most challenging of circumstances.It is a must read!

This is the best I have read in a long, long time. Sita is portrayed with so much love, every nuance, every aspect of her life is beautifully described. We always knew Sita for her sense of duty & sacrifice, this is the first time we see Her as an embodiment of pure love, and it creates such a beautiful image in the mind, it stays with us long after we finish reading. From start to finish, this books is pure bliss. Sitamata’s story is written exceptionally well, and I look forward to reading many more books by Bhanudi. Hope Bhanudi writes about Parvati next.

We feel we really are a part of Ramayana while it was unfolding. The poems, puzzles and knowledge points sprinkled in abundance in every line takes us into deep introspection.Sita is a gift the author has given us . Sita is not the docile, helpless women who is brooding over her life, but is a brave, empowered leader who takes things in her control. Her love for her beloved Rama and Rama's unconditional love for his Sita is so beautifully articulated. A must read for everyone.

Very unique. Very mesmerizing. Beautiful read. This is the first time, the words 'beautiful' and 'read' has come together in my vocabulary. I have read other books written by Bhanu but this one is extra special. Worth the read. Bhanu had brought out all emotions very beautifully, anger, love, joy, romance, war, peace, .... through her characters and events. I will recommend this book to everyone out there. A different flavor.
