Mr. Pen- Voltage Tester, Electrical Tester, Non Contact Voltage Tester

I bought the 2 pack, one yellow and one red. The yellow one is awesome, you dont have to touch, but almost touch a hot wire and it rings and lights up. The red one I have to put it in a wall plug slot to get it to work. But they both work, just the one is a 5 star and the other is a 4 star.

A simple tool to check hot wires and plug points in my house. I wanted to replace a plug point in my living room and purchased this Mr. Pen tool. It was delivered fast, and was in perfect condition. Though it's hard to remove the cover for battery installation as the instructions aren't clear. But, once batteries are installed the tool starts working imediately, it detects a range of power flowing thru either a electric plug point to the iphone charging wire that carries less than 5 Amps. In all its a good purchase, thanks.

If you are working on electrical, you want to be sure there is no juice going to what you are working on, you need this tool. In changing a fan, we thought we had the power off. It was off to the room, but not to the ceiling. I caught a little zap, but I am fine, other than the Einstein hair pointing straight up. Get a pen to test before you get zapped, not after like I did. This works perfectly, it is easy to us and accurate.

Does exactly what’s it’s made to do - detect voltage. Unlike my old one that stopped working, this one doesn’t have an on/off button, which means it’s always on stand-by? Regardless, no complaints. I won’t remove/replace a switch without this device.

I really like the size and ease of use of this tester. However, after five months of occasional use, it stopped working. The handy light works, but the tester won’t detect voltage.

Product came and was super easy to setup. It has a extremely sensitive pickup but definitely works to get the job done safely. Price is right as well.

The tool is simple, but it doesn't need to be complicated. It does exactly what it's supposed to do and it does it well. I used it to replace a pull chain light fixture in the basement that had broke. I wasn't 100% sure that the circuit breaker I flipped was the correct one (poorly labeled) and this tool actually showed me it was in fact NOT the correct one and the wire was still live. That would have been very bad. Thanks to this tool, I was able to quickly find the right breaker and was able to confidently replace the fixture without fear. Everyone should own a tool like this!

Not sure how long the battery’s will last if it is on 24/7 but works good

Good product, perform its function and value for money. Provide s safe protection on repairing minor electrical work.

So far so good does exactly what was advertised and I'm very happy with this tester for the price I paid. I recommend it.
