I smell like a campfire when I use this. I love how my hair feels the next day after it’s fully dried but I hate the smell. I love that it’s all natural though. I’m allergic to most adult shampoos but so far haven’t had any issues with this. Just wish it smelled a little better.

Best product for Psoriasis on the scalp on the market!! I have been using it for 3 months and has worked better than RX stuff and all the others on the market! Believe me i have tried many other hair shampoos conditioners and none come close and it makes my hair so soft! PLUS it is made with natural ingredients!! The smell is a lil bit extreme but it is worth it to me! Thank you Grandpa's for an awesome product!

Unbelievably great product--softens hair, scalp, and brings the scale to the surface, allowing for easy removal. I like that it is from a small business. My hair is left looking great, moisturized, clean ingredients and always money well spent. Will buy again!

This dandruff control conditioner works really well. I use it after Berks Full Spectrum dandruff shampoo. With the two of those combined, I smell like a cigar after using this, but it works wonders for my itchy scalp. I alternate it with a 2 in 1 dandruff shampoo/conditioner combination on the off days, either head and shoulders or something else. I have a plethora of dandruff products, and this is one of the better ones as far as I am concerned. I like the natural ingredients, and it does noticeably help with the itching and flaking, despite the smell. No one has commented on the smell , and it is not terribly bothersome, just noticeable as a woman that it has a masculine pine tar smell/cigar smell, but I'd rather smell like this conditioner than have the itchy scalp, so I am likely to purchase it again, or to try another product from this line to see if I can find one that has a milder smell. I may try a shampoo from the same line as well. I have found that I get used to the smell as time goes on, as tends to happen with smells once you get used to them. It's nice that it is from a small family-owned company that has been in business for generations in the US as well.

I'm not sure if this works, and even if it was the most Amazing shampoo ever I'm not sure I would use it. It smells awful, smoke and coal. I could sit by a fire for hours and not achieve this stink. No one will notice the dandruff if no one is willing to get within 10 feet of me

This stuff saved my manliness. After years of on-and-off failed attempts to grow a beard worth keeping, I was about to give up once and for all. I decided to go for broke and put away my razor for about a month - one last time. As usual, I was coming up with a thick crop of stiff, scraggly, pot-scrubber beard whiskers and I was feeling rather like a bum or perhaps a rather un-hygenic fisherman. I WANTED to feel like a lumberjack (and a gentleman), but that’s not the effect my unfortunate facial hairs create for me. So I was about to shave it all off and live out my days among the bald-faced girly men. I tried my wife’s lavender-scented hair conditioner. It didn't really do much good and that smell was not helping me with the lumberjack/gentleman effect. I tried some cigar-scented beard oil. It actually smelled pretty nice, but didn’t really do anything for my beard except make it stiff, smell and oily. That's no good. In a last-ditch effort, I purchased a bottle this Grandpa's and gave it a try. Wow, what a difference! After a single use, it rendered my porcupine-like beard soft and luxurious. And - and here’s the best part - it makes my face smell like a smoky glass of Islay Scotch! What could be finer? That heady pine tar scent makes me feel like I’ve just stepped away from a morning campfire in the Cascade Mountains - but in a fresh, clean, just-showered sort of way. Now I have my beard - bigger, better, softer and more stroke-able than ever - AND I smell like a campfire and/or glass of good peaty Scotch. I have more manliness than I ever dreamed. Works great with the shampoo. Great for oily hair and skin. It’s a must to have.

Leaves the hair soft, scalp refreshed, and a nice smoky smell.

Conditioner seems to have more Pine Tar scent than the new shampoo formula which is good since they seriously diminished it in the shampoo. Hair and feels smooth.

Really good, and a little goes a long way. The smokey smell is a bit strong but I like it. Psoriasis hasn't reacted badly either

I use the same brand, Pine Tar shampoo. Since I use this to compliment the shampoo I've noticed my hear is a lot softer and less tangled.

this is so fresh...it smells good and you feel clean...no stupid additives
