Purple Ube

This book is one of my top five favorite children's books!The illustrations and thought that went into this book is incredible. As a private educator and doula I serve children from birth to 8 years old pretty often. I make sure to travel with this book and it a hit EVERY time!The children love the book and often share stories of how they or a friend encountered something similar at school.This book opens a deep and necessary dialogue with children and adults. The books is also thoughtfully interactive and the recipe included for Purple Ube is DELICIOUS! Hinds sight I wish I would have put a protective coat on that page, yet I suppose I will pick up a second copy could make that possible.I cannot wait for the NEXT book Hannah, we NEED more thought and care into sharing stories such as this with children and quite frankly adults. Thank you!

This book is fabulous! I bought a copy for our house after seeing the author on the Wing Luke Museum YouTube page. We liked it so much that I bought another copy for our school library. It has some really good themes -- and is a great way to teach children empathy and the idea of trying new things.

I bought Purple Ube for myLittle Free Library. I want to offer good books to the little kids. It was borrowed the very first day I put it in!
