I absolutely love this L-shaped desk! It is beautiful, sturdy, and looks exactly like what I was hoping for. The assembly process was fairly easy overall, and the instructions were straightforward to follow. My only suggestion for improvement would be the part labeling. While I appreciate not having to remove a lot of stickers from each piece, the engraved numbers used to identify the parts were very light and sometimes difficult to see, which made assembly a little more challenging. That small issue aside, I am extremely happy with this purchase. The desk looks fantastic in my space, provides plenty of workspace, and is exactly the style I was looking for. I would definitely recommend it!

It took about 5 hours to put together, though we did take several breaks throughout the assembly (so really I think it was more like 4-ish hours), which I think helped a lot to quell the feelings of being overwhelmed, particularly in the beginning, with how much there was to do. It arrived in a flat, rectangular box that weight 140 lbs. The color is beautiful and the size is ideal for the space I had (I had actually been afraid it would be larger and more intrusive, but it's actually perfect). As you can see, it fits a lot on it, including my desktop computer, a monitor, keyboard, printer, lamp, mouse, work laptop, and other random stuff. No missing pieces and the instructions were really good and clear, with plenty of pictures and even some helpful notes to warn of potential mistakes before you make them. There were some chips to a few of the pieces, though they were very minor except for one that was big enough to have me a little concerned; however, none of the chips showed once the desk was assembled and none of them affected the structure, so in the end it did not matter that they were a little damaged. Really happy with this desk, especially since I got a very good deal on it. Originally, I had spotted it but did not consider it because it was out of my price range at the normal price, but one day it was on sale for enough off that it moved into affordability for me. I took a chance on it and I'm glad I did!

The Sauder Cottage Road L Shaped Desk was the largest Sauder product I have ever assembled and it was super easy to do. The instructions were very well-written and the pieces went together as expected. The long top was a bit challenging to line up, but that was expected given the size of the piece and number of cam bolts and wooden dowels to line up. It was well packaged with no pieces shifting in the packaging. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the longer top piece is chipped at the front. I had to buy a wood repair kit to fix the blemish because it looks bad and will continue to chip more without the repair. Overall I am pleased with the amount of space and the drawers and shelf space, as well. I liked it so much I bought the matching single pedestal desk for my son to also have in my home office so that his desk matches mine, along with the 1-drawer lateral file cabinet to replace my current printer stand. You really can't go wrong with Sauder products. Good quality for a decent price.

This desk is perfect for my tiny little office (11x12). It is a LOT more sturdy than I expected and gives me ample room for two large monitors and a laptop screen, plus flat space for writing. It looks good from any angle and I have enough room for my legs, and chair so I don’t feel boxed in. Assembly: I’m a 60+ woman and had no trouble putting this together. It wasn’t quick, I took maybe 5 hrs total with no power tools, but I wasn’t rushing either. I suggest you pay close attention to the drawings to ensure you’re using the correct side or placing a piece in the right direction. I know some people don’t like the cam bolts, but I find them reliably strong and easy to use. Improvement: The company gives you all the little plastic pieces to hide the bolts and screws, but these never work unless you’ve got the patience of Job and use glue. I would prefer they include a little bottle of paint (think nail polish) to paint over the bolts and screws. You can repaint if you need to disassemble for any reason and you won’t find plastic pieces chewed up by the dogs when they inevitably fall off. I’d really like a pencil drawer along one or both edges. That would have made this a stellar desk. I’m very happy with my purchase and would recommend this desk to anyone.

I don’t often write reviews, so you know I’m inspired when I do. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. The desk arrived in one (heavy) box, very well packaged. There were heavy cardboard corners along every edge which took the brunt of any dings during shipping. There was no damage to the main box or anything inside. Most of the pieces were labeled and the few that weren’t didn’t need to be. The fasteners were pre-sorted in a bubble sheet that was also labeled so there was no guesswork about which screw to use. The directions are detailed and clear. I didn’t time myself because I wasn’t in a hurry and worked on it when I was able. It did take a while but went together like a dream. No missing or misaligned holes. No missing hardware. Even the drawers slid together on the first try. I put it together myself and really didn’t need a second pair of hands. I’m very pleased and would purchase again.

This L-shaped desk is fantastic! It’s very sturdy and feels solid — no wobbling at all. Assembly was surprisingly easy, and the instructions were clear. It also looks great in my space — modern, clean, and professional. Plenty of room for my work setup, and it fits perfectly in the corner. Highly recommend if you want a reliable and attractive desk!

Absolutely gorgeous desk! It DID take a bit of time to build with just one person but once help came to the rescue, it went buy pretty quick. My husband get complimenting the quality of the directions and the packaging of materials. I am VERY excited about my new desk!!

Delivered w a big knick in the desk edge. Thats about the only knock on it for stars. I put it together by myself. Took about 3 hours and I had little kids "helping". Directions were easy and clear. Its sturdy and the color and finish look great in the space. I figure itll last about 5 to 10 years of light use which seems fitting for the price point. Im pleased so far.
