Bought to match toaster. Beautiful kettle, easy to handle and fill. Lid doesn’t come off, you fill kettle through centre of lid!!! Quite innovative and impressive. Just wonder how in future I can descale it?Bit slow when pouring from it but still good

Unless you have a big household that drinks a lot of hot drinks, the smaller size of this kettle is ideal as it stops you from wasting electricity by boiling a smaller volume of water.The exterior casing is easy to clean - just wipes clean - and the design is quite funky too, with a neutral colour fitting in with most kitchen colour schemes.Whilst the innovative filling point is great - no need to remove the lid, just pour water straight through it - it does mean that you inevitably get some limescale appearing in there. This is especially true as when the kettle boils steam comes out through this vent too, and deposits calcium there - maybe only in hard water areas?It's easily sorted though with a little white vinegar and a soak for a couple of hours - and I guess I'd rather have this than a springy lid that breaks after a year or two of regular use. Plus, it's a talking point - and who doesn't need more kitchen gadgets with talking points eh?!

Great kettle

I like the design of the kettle. The wide base means it boils faster. It's not as noisy as my old kettle and it is easy for me to pick up and hold. Very pleased with this product.

This is a beautiful kettle to look at - especially in the white and silver and a lovely design. It heats up quickly and It is so easy to fill it with the newly designed top. However, it does have a few drawbacks. It has a very short lead, and both the lead and the plug are BLACK! The lead only has to reach up a little way to be plugged in, which is as well, as it had to pulled out to its maximum extent, not allowing it be wound around inside the base. I also found it to be quite heavy. You do need to leave it for a little bit til it stops coughing and spluttering before using it. There is no handbook unless you go back to Argos. So a bit disappointing overall - but I love the look of the kettle and will keep it. I had a very similar some years ago which has only just needed replacing so I imagine this one will last as long too. You can extend the 1 year guarantee to 2 years years when you go onto the Morphy Richards site to register it.
