is it heat resistant is the brush gone melt?

I use my brush everyday and it hasn't melted yet, but I also don't recommend keeping the heat on it (or your hair) for extended amounts of time.

The handle is wooden and is covered in a thin paint that makes it feel plastic, but it is actually wood.
