Cool little light . . . 3-stage pushbutton gives a little or a lot of light. Also compact AND waterproof!

The light is well constructed and looks like it may be able to take a beating. The body is somewhat slippery when compared to other like lights with proper knurling. The clip looks like it can be switched so that it could be mounted on the visor of a ball cap but it's on so tight I can't remove it to switch locations without a tool. See image below.When comparing the ability to grip the lights the ThruNite® Ti HI wins with its deeper knurling.Switching the clip around for visor use is far simpler on the ThruNite® Ti HIThe ThruNite® Ti HI is currently $5.00 less than the ThorfireOn its own the Thorfire is a fine light. It's when you can compare to items in its class it that you discover there are better options.The light came with two extra O rings for placing on the switch/battery compartment closure (see image below) which is nice but they are about the thinnest O rings I've seen which is probably why the supplier provides extras. The toggle switch seems water tight, I've not tried drowning it yet, and would more than likely survive a quick dunking. The on/off toggle switch is ok. It takes a little getting used to when switching between the three modes to get the one you want. As with any light that has the ultra-dim twinkle light setting it's pretty much useless unless you're going to hide under a blanket reading comic books and don't want dad to find out. The Thorfire does not have a flashing mode which I find odd. The other two levels are quite useable. Other than the clip there is no way to attach this light to anything like a key chain or lanyard as there is no loop or provision that would allow for this.Because of the items above I can only give this light 3 1/2 stars and that's based simply on light output, very bright for such a small light and AAA battery. Love love love this little flashlight. Hard to believe the brightness shooting out of this little wonder with only one AAA battery. For years, my main Maglite with 3 C batteries probably didn't provide as much light as this. Of course, they are for different uses, but this is great for around the house.And I love the clip on the flashlight. I clip it on my cap and I have hands-free operation for doing jobs around the house or even outside when I need both my hands. The three light level is great too.So glad I bought this flashlight.UPDATE: My first one broke, so I ordered another one to replace it because I loved it so much. Still working well. However, I found the clip just as hard as the first one to remove in order to reposition (to be able to clip it on my cap). The clip broke off. Very upset. Defeats the purpose for which I bought it. Wonder if I can order just a replacement clip. And a video on how to remove the damn clip without breaking it would be nice. The clip is way too tight.

This flashlight is great for anything from illuminating a room at night to giving you just enough to get around without waking your spouse (I work early mornings). The moonlight setting is the perfect setting for getting around at night in a pitch black room. The highest setting is perfect for everything else!

As a medical professional, I wanted this light to search in poorly-lit areas and be able to check the eyes of patients. And never will I put this on my cap as a light. I don't think I have a reason for this function that keeps coming up. I've had this for a few months: it's solid (as I have beaten it up a fair bit but it still functions perfectly), functions easily and the size is perfect for me.

Ive only used it for about 15min off and on so far.Great size and feel.Solid clip.Great pressure toggle for on/offClick toggle for constant on/ dim/ medium/ suoer bright.Super bright is nice and bright, with a decently tight beam.I use it to look into machine compartments and examine parts and it does the job perfectly.
