MICTUNING Heavy Duty 7 Way Plug Inline Trailer Cord with 7 Gang Junction Box 8 Feet, Weatherproof

Be aware this is wired/color coded for US travel trailer/RV. If you are using a utility trailer you will have to ignore the color code and use your wiring diagram. That being said, the cord feels heavy duty and decent, the box feels fairly cheaply made and is a little large, however that extra space will come in handy if you want to add anything! For the price; worth it 100%. I took the initiative to silicone the screw holes when attaching to the trailer frame to avoid potential leakage and rust. All in all it is a pretty simple set up; you just need your wire connector of choice and I’d suggest a deep socket set as the dividers between the posts restrict easy access. If you don’t need to figure out a different wiring configuration you should be up and running in 20 min or so! (definitely not an electrician here so I have faith in you! 😉) Here is a pic of work in progress. Even with adjusting the length of the wires etc I was ready to pull, box attached and fully tested in 30 minutes. That includes replacing a fuse in the tow vehicle - (don’t worry, it was out before I started messing with the wiring). For the price and ease of installation I’d definitely buy again.

Very well designed, heavy duty, and easy to wire up. This makes the wiring harness you get new on the trailer look shameful. Good product at a fair price. Remember this: the left tail light brown wire connects to the RED connection in the supplied junction box. All other wires follow color code. Super easy, barely an inconvenience.

You know one of the downsides to using a trailer is having to mess around with those horrible wiring harnesses. You have your 4 or 5 pin flat plugs that just don't seem to hold up to the life of a trailer. Installing this junction box was so simple!! And no more flat plug issues!! I took a pic to you how I installed mine. I replaced all the lights on my trailer to also include 'backup' lights. The beauty of it all is that this junction box goes way beyond your 4-5 plug option. I gave everything 5 stars except for the weatherproof. I can see that there is a gasket material around the edge of the box, but I haven't driven it through any huge downpours or any winters, but I'll give it 4 for now. With all things there are Pros/Cons, but so far the only Con I can think of is that it would be nice for manufactures of items like this to include a waterproof bag to put over the plug to prevent it from getting rusty. For me, I used a ziplock back to protect it, but you can use whatever you want. As for doing the wiring? Be very careful to match up your trailer wires to the correct terminal in the junction box. The junction box gives you great details as to what each one of their colored wires are for, but they will NOT match up to the same color of your trailer wiring! For me, Yellow trailer wire goes to Junction Box Red; Brown trailer wire goes to Junction Box Green; Green trailer wire goes to Junction Box Brown; Blue trailer wire goes to Junction Box Yellow. So again, just be sure to match your connections correct. Other than that, this is an awesome product!

This was easy to install on my enclosed trailer and it seems to work great. The cord is plenty long enough and it seems to be nice and pliable. My only complaint is that the cap that covers the plug is nearly useless. It's not watertight, so water will still get into the plug. This is especially annoying during the winter when it will then freeze in the plug. That happened to me a couple times over this last winter. I ended up just sticking the plug into the very end of my truck's exhaust pipe for a couple minutes in order to melt the ice. Other than that, it's fine.

GREAT setup

I was very surprised how well made it is and how it was so easy to wire in all the wires. With the color codes it tells you put the wires on it and they are ready. Loved it and will most definitely be buying again.

Actually impressed with the quality for the price. Cord is nice and flexible, length is as advertised. Junction box is built well. Only issue I have is the wire colors don't match function with standard wiring here in America. They do include a nicely done diagram so it's easy to see what your working with.

Finally installed the gang box on my trailer. The wire placement was slightly different than on my truck, but this harness works great. I plan to install one on my shorter trailer.

Super sturdy, and very easy to add all wiring needs onto an RV, or any other trailer! Labeled clearly in instructions, easy to verify with online wire instructions. This breakout box is super handy.

Everyone that's saying this box is wired wrong needs to do a little research. The colour coding is different on a cargo trailer than a travel trailer (RV). This box is colour coded for travel trailers so you'll have to miss match a few wires if you're using it on a cargo trailer. I don't think you'll find anything like this that isn't made in China. That being said the box and cord seem to be good quality. Only reason for not 5 stars is the lack of heart shrink on the pre installed ring terminals.
