An Approach to Comping, Vol.2: Advanced Concepts and Techniques

Methodical and thorough, nothing watered down or over simplified like in many other jazz educational books. This is something I wish I'd had available as a Conservatory student, but it's still an extremely valuable asset to me years later as a professional. Both volumes are outstanding.

Vol II takes you all the way to Bill Evans comping. Great way to learn voicing and comping techniques. Buy it together with Vol I.
