Omni 2 Hardside Expandable Luggage with Spinner Wheels, Checked-Large 28-Inch, Purple

This suitcase is light and very roomy. It rolls well. Seems strong and we'll made. I would not hesitate to buy one again. The lock works well and is easy to use.

Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this luggage. I have traveled all over for the last 30 years and have owned more expensive luggage and swear by Samsonite. My last luggage from them was perfect and had so many compartments and I was worried this wouldn't hold as much. I can get so much in this luggage and like that it is double sided and you can zip one side to hold it in - I do miss my soft side luggage but I carry this for long trips and bring a smaller soft sided one for the carry on and put my expensive shoes in it and belts. But, this fits everything - couldn't be happier.

This suitcase is largely what I expected except for its size; I would have been better off one size down (24 vs 28"). When fully loaded, it is very likely to surpass the 50-pound limit airlines impose on checked luggage in coach. If you're flying business, this suitcase is perfect. I am not sure of its durability, as it is lightweight when empty, which is also an advantage. It seems well built, and its wheel system is excellent. Features one would expect on a Samsonite.

This Samsonite large suitcase is probably an excellent piece of luggage. We ordered it to use during our upcoming vacation. However, while planning our trip we learned on the Southwest Airlines’ website that it EXCEEDS the maximum allowable dimensions permitted by Southwest for “checked” luggage, and instead we must incur an extra baggage charge of at least $75 (each way) for it to be specially loaded into the plane’s cargo hold. Amazon’s description of the luggage did NOT indicate that this luggage doesn’t qualify as regular “checked” luggage. Because we ordered it well in advance of our vacation, more than 30 days have passed since we received it and now, according to Amazon’s return policy, we cannot return it to exchange for a similar but Medium Samsonite suitcase! Two $75 excess baggage fees ( for a round trip ticket) costs more than the price I paid on Amazon for this luggage. Not happy….

I’ve taken the Samsonite Luggage on many international flights, and it has held up extremely well. The hard shell is very durable and has protected my belongings through all kinds of handling. The spinner wheels make it super easy to navigate airports, and the expandable feature is a huge plus when I need a little extra room. The only issue I encountered was during a trip to Singapore when one of the wheels fell off. Luckily, there was a Samsonite service center nearby, and they repaired it in just 30 minutes for $35. It was a quick and easy fix, and the luggage has been performing perfectly ever since. Overall, I highly recommend this suitcase!

Absolutely love this. It holds a lot, is fully regulation size for any airline I fly and the spinner wheels are high quality.
