BY FAR THE BEST VEGGIE SPIRALIZER EVER - STURDY ALL METAL AND EASIEST TO OPERATE!
This is by far and away the best vegetable spiralizer I've seen or tried. Do not waste your money on any other brand or model. THIS IS THE ONE! I've bought a few and returned them all for various reasons, until I found this ICO all metal vegetable spiralizer. It has far superior quality in every measurable way. And no, they didn't pay me to write this! It's super sturdy, doesn't slip on my counter, and requires very little effort to cut the veggies - slices through them with ease like cutting butter. (All the other brands I tried were really hard to operate, slipped on the counter, had no good place to hold onto them and required a lot of force to push the veggie through the blades, and left a lot of wasted veggie). This ICO spiralizer comes with 3 different cut patterns. No rickety plastic parts to break or wobble, and it's precision engineered so the cut is near perfect and uniform. Oh - and unlike other brands, there is little to no waste - no big stub or central core left uncut - this model spiralizes right to the very end leaving just a tiny slice maybe 1/3 inch thick that you can snack right up. The compact size of this unit means handling and storage are much more convenient than other models, and you still get "spaghettis" over 5 feet long from just half a zucchini! So don't waste your $ on a longer model as it's completely necessary. No worries here - you won't regret buying this one - just do it! Excellent customer service from ICO as well. Great for any vegetable preparation for meals, salads, soups, snacks and appetizers; also perfect for weight loss, low carb, keto, vegetarian, vegan and raw diets too. Do it!

Durability and Surpassing Utility!
Savvy shoppers crave real world reviews. We have purchased an ICO 4-Blade Spiralizer, and have enjoyed its use for a number of months. With gratitude for the positive experience, we offer the following words. Our home kitchen, as well as adventures in food production, exceed the norm. We weekly experiment with a minimum of three new dishes, as well as new forms of preparation. In this vein, and with the encouragement of a number of entire cookbooks devoted to a theme, we undertook an adventure in “spiralizing”. Our initial foray was with a hand-held tube, with blades inside, into which one inserted a vegetable, and then pivoted, using two hands, both the food and the device. Spirals of vegetable emerged. With this we discovered non-carbohydrate forms of “pasta”, and dishes that featured raw or sautéed veggies that were a great deal lighter in the aftermath than your standard spaghetti dinner. In a desire to up-grade the quantity of what we could spiralize, we sought a model that would forego the limitations of the size of vegetable that could be processed by the “tube”, as well as the tedious method of rotating hands. With research on Amazon, we determined that the weakness of crank operated spiralizers was the fact that they were made of plastic (the majority of models for sale). To endure the stress of cranking fat carrots or hard butternut squash required a design both massive, and bulky. These two features lead to products which further required large washings and some disassembly. Dissatisfied, we sought a spiralizer fashioned from the more obvious choice of structurally sound materials: metal. Metal that would not rust, or be too clunky. In this pursuit, there were few choices. We settled on the ICO 4-Blade Spiralizer. There were some negative reviews regarding the sharpness of the blades, and we nearly decided to live without any spiralizer in our kitchen. Thank goodness my wife quietly ordered the ICO Spiralizer. It arrived quickly, and undamaged. It was smaller than plastic models (so much better for storage in an already well-supplied kitchen), and it was made of metal that has not corroded in any way in the half year that we have used the device often. The blades have all been sharp enough. One can produce a number of different shapes of vegetable “noodle” (four!), including one that provides sheets of food, much in the shape of an apple peeled in one long piece. Vegetables such as butternut squash can be cut into portions that are accommodated by the tool, such that all of the squash can be rendered into a pile of delightful “noodles”. Best was the support of ICO’s customer service. Our spiralizer had arrived missing one of three blades (the spiralizer has one blade which is permanent; one can operate with just that blade, or add one of the three possible detachable blades — which are held onto the spiralizer in a most clever and easily installed manner!). Customer service was exceedingly responsive, and when a replacement blade was not soon forthcoming, their decision was to send us an entire, new ICO 4-Blade Spiralizer. This, in lieu of a blade which cost likely no more than pennies. Experience the strength and functionality of this wonderful tool. And prepare to have a great deal of new food fun in the process.

Returned for Refund/QC issues.
I ordered this because I like the size and the metal construction. However, the quality control in the manufacturing process was lacking. The slicing blade attached (not the pronged blades) was not attached perfectly straight with the opening of the area where the food goes through the end. There was a larger/wider opening toward the bottom than toward the center. The result was that only about half of the spirals were cut sufficiently deep to separate from each other, and you had to manually pull them apart to get them to separate. Too bad, because it is smaller than the big plastic models and i liked it otherwise. Returned for refund EDIT 9/10/2018: The seller contacted me several months after refunding my purchase price and offered to send me a new item. The item was received and was functional in a much better way than the original item. It cuts nice and smoothly and thoroughly. I have not used it extensively as I am not spiralizing very often these days. I appreciate the efforts to send me a new unit, and as the new unit is functional, I have changed my rating to 4 stars, but it seems like there may have been a quality control issue with the original unit, and as it took a replacement to have me satisfied with my purchase, I will not rate 5 stars. I have added to the review, but getting a new product does not change my initial experience.

Easy to use and to clean
Great device! The manual is basically useless but it's not hard to figure out how everything works. It's really fast and easy both to use and clean up (comes with a little brush which aids in cleaning the blade after use). The device has feet that lift it slightly off the surface but not enough that a plate will fit underneath; I have a thin plastic cutting board that I slide under it to collect the noodles, which works great. I've found a lot of sites dedicated to spiralizer recipes which have provided inspiration, since the meager manual has nothing like that. It comes with three blades which create three different thicknesses of curly noodles; see pics. If you remove the blade then it defaults to a built-in blade which makes an even fatter noodle. You can look at the blades and easily tell which will accomplish what; the distance between the blades signifies how fat of a noodle it will make. It spiralizes the veggie down to a little piece about a centimeter in thickness; I either eat this bit or save and toss into my next smoothie batch. I bought this in hopes I would substitute veggie noodles instead of piles of rice and it's definitely having that impact. It's also adding creativity (and healthfulness) to my dishes. Swapping the blades: remove the existing blade by pulling the metal tab toward you. It releases easily. To put in a new blade, slide the blade into the open slot, with the number on the metal tab facing in against the device, at the base, then push the tab back. You will be able to see the number on the tab when it's in position. (It sounds more complicated than it is, it just takes a second and doesn't require any strength.)

Compact, functional, serves its purpose
This is the first ever spiralizer I bought. I like it and it is oddly much more fun to eat vegetables when they are cut into long ribbons. What I like: It's not bulky and it works well, as long as you have a bit of finesse while using it. You have to understand how to put pressure on it just right to create the spirals, which isn't that hard, honestly. What needs improvement: You have a 1" food waste and have to cut your veggies to fit. Another problem is that they have to be at least one inch round to be able to lock into the back part, but especially with carrots, that becomes a challenge, because they aren't always that thick. Then the piece that you stick them on to is short, and carrots often break. My suggestion for the company to fix this design flaw and minimize waste is this: Have a needle that lifts up, so you can put your whole vegetable on it. This needle should be the length of the rotating arm. The rotating arm needs to have a hole in the middle, so that needle can fit with the rotating arm (a needle within the arm). That will minimize waste.

All Metal Spiralizer!
I love that this spiralizer is ALL METAL. I've used several in the past made from plastic that are either difficult to use or fall apart. This unit comes with 2 interchangeable blades: small and large for spaghetti or fettuccine style noodles as well as a ribbon cutting blade permanently mounted on it. It has 4 suction cup feet on the bottom to secure it to your countertop but they work better if you moisten them first. The blades are very easy to snap in and out and are very sharp! To clean, I just rinse the entire unit under my kitchen faucet, then dry thoroughly. It's small size makes it easy to store as well. A few years ago I got burned by the Spirooli model when the handle broke off in my hand during the first use trying to spiralize a potato. I vowed then to never buy another one until I found an all metal model...this is it! I have spiralized many different vegetables and apples with this product and it appears to be very durable. I'm very happy with this purchase and recommend it if you are fed up with all the plastic junk out there.

Mediocre Results
Basically this spiralizer made a mess out of most of anything I've tried to slice. The blade is fairly far away from the spike that secures the vegetable. So it barely reached a carrot. The zucchini had a similar issue plus it kept tearing chunks out. I don't know if other models have these issues, but there are a lot if jagged bits and pieces created to get half a dozen spirals. I'll keep trying other items. Maybe there is some hidden trick to it that I haven't discovered. It is easy to clean and stays on the counter very nicely.

Best Quality Spiralizer on the Market!
I love it! I I didn't want a hand spiralizer and I don't trust stuff made out of plastic, I wanted something that was durable and this one is solid metal! Since I have limited storage space the size was perfect and there are not a ton of small attachments to lose, just one extra blade that stays in it's tiny box in my silverware drawer. I saw in one review where the lady said that since it was smaller you would have to cut your zukes in half; so what, big deal. I used it the other night and it worked quickly, smoothly, and turned out the most lovely zuke noodles you can imagine! I am absolutely happy with my purchase and would advise everyone to purchase it :-) As one reviewer said, they had trouble attaching one of the blades and I did too until my son came to my rescue and showed me the simple trick LOL! All in all I'm completely satisfied and am glad that I have found a product that will actually last my lifetime and will probably end up becoming a family heirloom LOL!!! Thanks very much for offering us a real product and not just another piece of throw away crap :-)

sturdy, 3 blades, all stainless steal, little waste, love it
this product is made from stainless steal. it is a little different than the picture and description - it actually comes with 3 different size blades and the base has a big suction cup - the description said 2 blades and the picture shows 4 small suctions on each corner. The big suction cup is about half the product base size and once you figure out how to achieve a good suction this thing does not move from your counter. This product does not waste a lot of the vegetable, the handle bar comes off for easy storage. the whole unit is much smaller than the plastic spirilizers on the market . it is a little different than other plastic similar looking spirilizers as there is no handle to push the food, with this one you have to push through the handle - i don't know if that makes sense but there is no additional handle for pushing, I have tried carrots and beats and it cut both without any problems. Only bad thing i can say is that the blade for cutting is welded on and if you use this product alot, you will not be able to take off the blade to sharpen . But that is nor here nor there as i have only used this product for one day now. the only other down side is this spirilizer is not high off your counter so you cannot really place a bowl or plate to catch the food, *(unless your plates are completely flat) , I used a thinish cutting board to place under to catch the vegetables. This is not a deal breaker at all - it is so sturdy and i has 3 different blades and no plastic parts that can break easily . oh changing the blades could not be easier.

Fantastic
Oh lord I live this! I got it because I wanted to make some fried nests of potato buy in the end I now use it for everything. A curry, stir fry, stew etc I will use any veg that fits in this. It makes they nice strands and if I want short pieces I will just cut the pile and your sorted. The quality of the product is so worth the price. I see no issue with this for decades honestly.
