Does the gel press plate print as good as the gelli plate? it is cheaper than most. i wanted the 8 inch.

I have been gel printing on both plates for 6 years. In my personal experience, Gelli Arts stands the test of time vs. Gel Press. The squish factor on the Gelli Arts is better than Gel Press - in my personal opinion. My Gel Press plates after a while don't release as cleanly and easily as the Gelli Arts plates. Causing me to actually need to replace them which is more expensive than the price difference. Also, if I can offer some correction to the NCF reply of 4/5/18 - Gelli ARTS is MADE in the USA, it's Gel Press that is made in Taiwan. I am not affiliated with either company, just a heavy user and after thousands of prints, and teaching printing on youtube and in person/online classes, it's just what I've noticed between the two. Both are great products, and will get the job done. I use both, but I prefer Gelli Arts. Hope this helps someone! :)

Any suggestions of what kind of (archival if possible) papers to use with this that aren't too thick so transfer/rubbing not to difficult? Thanks!

Strathmore has printmaking pads. Try their 5" x 7" pad and see how that works. They also have Bristol and mixed media paper which is a little heavier not made for transfer/rubbing but great to pull a print off a Gelli plate.Also Ranger makes a paper you can use for transfers. You tube has many videos on transfer/rubbing. Type in YouTube search box Archival paper for transfer and rubbing. You will be surprised at what you find.

For transferring inages onto canvas?

No, this is not used for transferring images onto canvas. It is used for pulling gel press prints.

super produit ! j'ai vu les vidéos de Dyan Reaveley, elle fait des trucs super avec, surtout les fonds de page, en un simple coup de pinceau ! j'adore ! et on ne gâche plus de peinture !! yess! facile, idéale pour les enfants, on peut l'utiliser avec le rouleau à peinture, ou bien des pochoirs pour faire des motifs, en une application. super

Innan du köper tänk på att porto och någon typ av skatt tillkommer på priset. Informationen om detta finns inte någonstans att hitta. Min vara blev dubbelt så dyr efter att porto på 199 kr lades på plus skatt? 99:- Ingen bra ide heller att skicka tillbaka då du som köpare får betala returportot. Så nu står jag här med en liten ynkligt tunn gel platta som blev jättedyr. Dessutom kan du bara använda den till ett enda motiv eftersom den är embossed med ett mönster, vilket heller inte kom fram tydligt i annonsen. Kolla noga innan du beställer den här
