I really had some high hopes for this dog toy. My dog, a jack russell mix, is known as 'destructo dog' in our house. He really loves chew toys but tends to destroy them in a very short time after receiving it.When this arrived, I liked that it's small. I was a bit concerned about little bell that is inside the pacifier part (and there is a hole in the end). The bell is not tethered to anything and rattles cleanly around the inside of the toy.Within 10 minutes of giving him this toy, he had chewed the ring off the top and swallowed quite a large piece. At that point we took the toy away and will not give it to him again. I can see now that it will be no time at all before he chews straight through the pacifier and may swallow the bell.I can recommend this toy if you have a dog that is small and a non-chewer. My dog loved the fact that it is rubber and bounced. He immediately started tossing it and chasing it across our hardwood floors. It just didn't hold up to his strong chewing instinct. I was sad to take it away because he really seemed to like the toy immediately. Unfortunately, he liked it TOO much.
