Wiha 32659 High Leverage End Cutting Nippers, 8-Inch, Premium-Quality Tool Steel

This review is for the Wiha 32659 High Leverage End Cutting 8-Inch Nippers. Although Wiha is a German company, these nippers are not made in Germany but in Vietnam. The lower price reflects the country of manufacture. The quality is excellent, generally speaking. I found one minor sample flaw in the one I received. The cutting edges do not mate perfectly. One-half of the cutter has a 0.015" to 0.002" gap between the two cutting edges. The other half is entirely even. That small 0.002" gap won't matter when cutting nailheads or large gauge wires, but when cutting small gauge copper wires, a small gap in the cutting edges can result in the cutting action not producing a snappy sound when the nippers cut through the tiny wires. I like that snappy action and snappy sound when cutters and nippers cut through something. In comparison, the Knipex cutters in my inventory all have perfectly mating edges, and the cuts on the Knipex cutters are always crisp and snappy. That's one difference between higher quality(and higher-priced) German-made tools and those made in China or Vietnam.

These work great. ProjectFarm compared these to other brands, on his YouTube channel and these preformed great in the tests. In my experience, they have cut through steel wire, nails and screws without any damage to the tool.

Very good quality. Cuts stainless wire like butter. I can’t speak to their longevity having just purchased them but other I work with who have had them for some time seemed very pleased.

Easy to grip easy to handle. It's my most used tool at work. I can use the them one handed which is very convenient. The sharpness has held up really good. Definitely purchase them again when needed!

Excellent tool for cutting rusty wires from the fencing in the horse pastures.

The price is high, same price you can get better capacity. It can only cut 6awg wire so quite not happy for the price. Cheaper cutters can do better.
