Get the proper length - measure first.
I was having problems with my USB switch reaching the back of my computer. It made it difficult to move the computer without pulling out the USB-C connection on the back. This longer cable is just what I needed to give me room to move the computer around a bit.

I was looking to connect a monitor with a USB hub to my Mac. This works great with no issues so far. Nice and sturdy. Not many options when looking for the thicker powered, usb 3 standard to USB c.

Seems slightly faster for my older hard drive enclosure/hub than the standard style USB B (2.x ?) style
