I highly suggest Dr Browns bottles for any expecting moms and their newborn's! I know they are known to help with colicness. I started my daughter right off that bat with these bottles and to this day, we never had a problem! We love how they make different sizes for the nipple depending on the speed of the flow of the formula. We also love the durability of these bottles and how they come with little cleaning sticks to get into the tough spots on the bottle.

This is a great, complete set that would make a good gift for a shower or a new parent. I can't recommend it enough, especially if you will make good use out of the bottle warmer. If not, one of the other gift sets may be a better value. Read on for more details.My wife bought a "best selling bottles" sampler from Babylist and the Dr. Browns bottle was the only one that was straight forward and a pleasure to use. I was so happy to find this complete set. The 3 4oz bottles are perfect for our newborn, the 3 8oz are perfect for storing pumped milk, the steam bags are such a simple way to sterilize small parts, and the cleaning brush is better than two other bottle brushes we received as gifts. I especially love the suction mount and the nipple cleaning side. We have already purchased several extra Dr. Brown's bottles - they truly are the best.We have not used the pacifiers yet, and while the bottle warmer is well reviewed, we haven't used that either. Frankly, the bottle warmer (in my opinion) is a bit too small to be used for sterilization, and with the microwave bags and/or dishwasher, that function is a bit redundant. And for bottle warming - we prefer to microwave a small ramekin of water, and put a bottle in the warmed water to take the chill off. The bottle warmer recommends distilled water which seems like it would be just another step for a new parent. I would probably recommend the First Year gift set, or the Newborn Essentials gift set if you think you won't get use out of the warmer. However, two new parents I know don't have a microwave, and if that's your case, or the case for your gift receiver, I think the bottle warmer would be a great add.To complete the perfect starter gift set - I'd recommend a well reviewed bottle drying rack and dishwasher basket (if you or your receiver has a dishwasher).

I feel like I've been living in a cave and just came to the current time period. I mean, "glow-in-the-dark pacifiers", plug-in bottle warmer, "microwaveable bag sterilizer"? Man, when did this things come to be? I remember boiling water to sterilize glass baby bottles and boiling water to prepare formulas the old way. These young generation don't know how good and easy they have it. But, this set is just what you need to start taking care of your little angel. The anti-colic features, will save you lots of sleepless night and waking up all time of the night because the baby is crying all the time and you don't know what's wrong with them since you just fed him/her. Cleaning is a snap with the provided bottle cleaner and microwaveable sterilizer bag, and keeping the formula warm is so easy by just flicking a switch in the provided bottle warmer. You have ootions also on the nipples as the baby grows, from level 1 to level 3 nipples available. During my time, it was just one type of nipple- that's it!Nothing really negative to say about this set, but since you have all these convenience...why nit throw-in a starter formula also, that would have been nice! I know there's the issue of expiration dates if the set don't sell right away.Overall, a great starting set and I would highly recommend this to new parents! You can thank me later.

I really wanted to love these because of all the hype, but unfortunately they didn’t make any noticeable difference for my baby. She’s very colicky and gassy, and I had high hopes that the vent system would help, but sadly, it didn’t.If anything, I found the bottles a bit of a hassle to clean with all the extra parts. It felt like more effort without any real benefit. Every baby is different, so maybe they work for some, but for us, there was no improvement. I ended up returning them and trying something simpler.Not a terrible product—just not the miracle solution I was hoping for.
