These projectors are awesome. So far I’ve retrofitted 2 of my cars; my first retrofit was done for my Sequoia and the second on my xB! The projector install itself is very simple; remove the old reflector, use the included adapters, and secure the projectors into your headlights. I like to test fit the lights on my car to ensure the cutoffs are level before redefining the lenses. Anyway, in both my cars I’m running 35W ballasts, and 5000k and 6000k(pictured) bulbs. As you can see; the cutoff is amazing. During the winter especially, most of my driving is done when it’s dark out and these projectors along with a set of HIDs just light up the road! I love the light output and feel good knowing I’m not blinding everyone by putting bright bulbs in a reflector housing. The high beams are great too. I cut off the included connector and used a deutsch connector instead which I find to be more durable but isn’t necessary. Overall, I’d say the quality of these projectors is solid. They fit well with extremely little to no modification and will really modernize your old reflector headlights.

For less than 30$ this is a steal. I did another retrofit with morimoto mini h1 7.0 and while it definitely feels more solid, this projector kit is great and I'll likely buy another set to have on hand before prices go up. tested solenoid about 50x each projector with a 9v battery and some spare wire before installing. shrouds screw in which is nice vs using jb weld and risking getting it all over everything. Fits perfectly on 9th gen civics (and should fit any 9006 low beam) with no cutting needed. I used an innovited 55w kit,h1 5000k bulbs, and wiring harness that matched my car wiring (9006) , some high beam splitters, and some adapters for the solenoid(in order to use factory high beams along with projector high beams) and I'm happy with it so far. From baking open headlights to completing the retrofit it took me a total of 3 hours (i painted mine so i let them dry overnight before resealing them). Will update if any issues arise. Hardest part was leveling the headlights. I made sure all tire pressure was good and car was level and used a brick wall to confirm them tightened down everything and sealed it up. The low beams are great but having two sets of high beams per side is really the main reason I wanted to do this. Using lasfit 9005 high beam leds paired with the projector hi/low beams and its amazing how much you can see at night. *update: swapped innovited bulbs for morimoto and they're much brighter and have more bluish color flicker. Also testing morimoto h1 bulb holders on these projectors and will update my findings. Update. Morimoto bulb holders work great with this. Couple months in with 55 watt hid and no issues. *update March 2026 everything is still in perfect working order no issues and have been using 55w ballast this whole time.

TLDR; these projectors are junk, look a lot worse than stock halogens with a foggy lens, and retrofitting headlights is a very time consuming process. If you don't like them or get defective ones, then you have to take apart your headlight again just to get them out. Ruined a brand new pair of housings. -- Purchased these to retrofit a new set of headlights for 2000-2004 Subaru Legacy. It was a very time consuming and labor-intensive process to open the headlight assembly and install these, even as someone with a lot of mechanical and craft experience. Thankfully, minimal cutting was required and I just had to open a hole for the high beam wires. I marked the top-center of the projector lens so I could get it level and at the correct orientation. Carefully secured and tightened everything, triple checked my work. The way it attaches with the washers to the back of the headlight assembly isn't great, as the rubber gasket was too small and left a gap. The threaded base of the projector is a little too short, and the nut that holds it in place is such low quality metal that my needle nose pliers dug right into it and shaved part of it away. Okay, at this point it looks decent and I re-seal the headlights and begin the install of the HIDs. Spent a couple hours making a wiring harness. Get it all installed and finally working, then test the lights when it's dark. They look horrible. The right projector has a fuzzy blob as its output. The right projector has a jagged Z-shaped line that only goes 10ft out from my car then cuts off completely. It is embarrassing to drive like this. Now I test the high beams. It looks okay with the shutter open but not nearly as bright or defined as stock halogens in 20yr old housings. Frustrated, I switch the HIDs out with the stock halogen H1 bulbs, which I know are solid. Just as bad. I try to aim the lights and adjust the clip holding them in, nothing improves, and the clip that holds the bulb in is weak and it wiggles. It appears the left shutter is completely defective and isn't a straight line. I was hoping to get a refund and just switch back to the beat up stock headlights but there's no way I'm going through hours of labor just to remove the projectors from the headlight assemblies, to get $30 back. So that is part of the business model probably.

The install: I used these for my first retrofit for my 05 dodge neon srt-4. the install took my about 2 days from start to finish. I did need to extensively modify my reflector bowls and bowl mounts in order to get these to fit without touching the lens though, but if your headlight assembly is deep enough, these could very well be a plug-and-play install. I also painted the shrouds and reflector bowls as well as restored my lenses prior to assembly, so keep in mind that I really took my time to make this install look the way I wanted to. Performance: I test-fired the solenoid about 50 times before sealing up my lenses and didn't have a problem with them and they are still working great 3 weeks later. The beam angle is pretty good, I do find myself wishing it was a bit wider, or brighter off in the ditch to better see those suicidal animals, but as this is my first ever retrofit and only second experience driving with projectors, I don't know what is considered a "wide" beam angle. Frontward visibility is outstanding! I used a 5k hid bulb for that oem white hid hue of light and it is fantastic. I have no complaints in this area. My srt-4 is quite low, and the projector is mounted only maybe 2 feet from the ground, so the light distance for the low beam should be better with taller vehicles. My cutoff angle is only 1 inch lower than the projector height at 20 feet away, and not a single person has flashed me (though I do have a low car, that may have something to do with it too). Reflection: These are great projectors. I was originally going to get the more expensive Morimoto mini h1 projectors, but they are 100 dollars more than these. I think if i do another retrofit, I will stick with these. I have had such a good experience with them that I cannot justify spending all the extra money for the name-brand version. The solenoids work great, the cut-off is crisp with a tad bit of rainbow in it at further distances, they look great and high quality. My only gripe is the solenoid wires seem super thin, and the h1 hid bulbs don't seal the the back of the projector. I haven't had any fogging in rain and snow yet, and i have driven in both since I finished them, but there is some light coming out from around the collar of the bulb behind the projector. I may go in there with some silicone later on if I feel the need, but it hasn't been a problem thus far.

Installed these on my 2012 Jeep Patriot and the process was pretty straightforward. The cutoff is clean and sharp with a nice straight beam pattern, which makes a big difference at night. With the bulbs I paired them with, the brightness is strong and evenly distributed across the road. Definitely a big improvement over the stock halogen setup. The light output looks more modern and controlled, not scattered. Overall, really happy with how they turned out.

Good product. Big gripe though when I sent to check all my assemblies. each screw was stripped out like a gorilla tried to tighten each screw with an impact gun. All 6 screws (3 each) stripped out. Was able to get then out after 30 minutes and different type and size screw drivers, even had to bake them for a few min to soften the plastic. Support wanted me to send them back. But garentee the next set I'd get would be the same. Yes look good and easy to install. But even if you get them screws out..idk where you can but such a small screws to replace them. Paired with h1 HID set of bulbs. Tried a few combos. My assemblied wouldn't take an led, regal or slim style. Wouldn't take an h4 or h7 as the inlets were to small so I had to get the H1 HID . Once installed . Plug and play. You'll need an h1 adapter harness which is like 15 bucks. 3 pins were ben for the high beams.2 on 1 side, 1 of the other.. Had to bend then back with hopes they'd work. If you can handle fighting out stripped screws and having to reuse them good bang for the buck, if not I'd recommend another brand or one that cost a bit more. Used a 99 limited 4runner. Also remember to adjust the beams, seen some people saying you had to shim it? No there'd adjusted in your headlamps to bring up/ down . Side2side adjustments

If you are comparing these to Morimoto Mini H1 projectors and questioning the performance of these, you are in the same boat I was two weeks ago. While the Morimoto's were easily affordable, I didn't see how there would be enough of a difference from these to justify the $80 difference. I bit the bullet and ordered these. Having never retrofitted headlights before I was anxious to see how these would project the light. Now that I have my the headlights in my car, these bad boys perform excellently. For HID's, I went with 8000k from a seller on Amazon and the color is wonderful. The only thing I can not attest to is the compatibility with anyone else's headlights. They fit perfectly in my 2002 Altima 3.5 which have a decent amount of space in them. These projectors are so compact that they should fit most headlights. For comparison, I recently drove a family members new Lexus and the projectors provide for great night driving. With that being said, these Nilight 2.5 Mini projectors and some good HID's (I paid $60 for the bulbs and ballasts) seem to perform better. The beam is wider allowing you to see off to the side with ease. This could be hysteria but they are excellent regardless. One absolute pisser at the time was that the screws holding the bulb mount to the back strip way to easily. Of the three on each projector, only two of the screws came out without issue. Be prepared to use a deep, thin precision flat head despite them being phillips screws (sorry I do not have the driver size in front of me at the time).

Purchased these to retrofit my 02 Subaru forester headlights. It takes some know-how to do this modification as it requires separation of the lamp housing to install. Once I had the lights free of all screws and clips it baked in the oven at 225 for 15 minutes to soften the sealer. If you are planning on doing this job with any automotive lights be sure to purchase a roll of resealing rubber to do it right. As for the projectors themselves everything is awesome for the price! They fall short in some areas but the higher quality premium brand is ten times the cost. Pros: Great value Good quality materials Look nice installed, both aesthetic and function Cons: Trim pieces need trimmed to clean up manufacturing lines (excessive plastic) Had to slightly dremel the bulb bracket to fit, nothing major. BIGGEST PROBLEM - the cut off line is FAR too steep. At close distance they look ok fine, but at full distance while driving the height difference in the 'kink' of each lights is drastic. Many feet on the flat road. If I were to repeat this project I would take out the low beam shield and carefully sand it down to a MUCH smaller kink. But either way I would absolutely recommend these to any diy type who wants extremely bright HIDS and not blinding other drivers with bright lights.

I installed these in my 2010 Xterra. They are absolutely fantastic for the money. The cutoff is very good with minimal chromatic aberration. The high beam motors are working well and there is plenty of light output. These are a massive upgrade to the stock headlights. There were no fitment issues in my case as well and no shimming needed like some people noted. Install these straight and make sure they are level. You can use the stock headlights aiming screw for the rest. Highly recommended. Hopefully they last a reasonable amount of time.
