We purchased this mail-in Asbestos Test Kit as a necessary first step before commencing a major construction project in our home. Investing in this simple kit was well worth the money and has provided invaluable peace of mind. The process was incredibly smooth. The instructions for collecting the sample were clear and easy to follow and the mail-in submission was hassle-free. The laboratory associated with the kit was exceptionally easy to work with, offering professional and responsive communication throughout the testing process. Most importantly, the results were delivered promptly in a clear, easy-to-read pdf document, providing a definitive answer regarding the presence of asbestos. This reliability was critical, not only for protecting the health of everyone working on the house but also for protecting us against any potential contractor issues down the road. This kit is a non-negotiable step for any homeowner undertaking a renovation project.

I knew it didn't include the processing fee, so I'm not giving them 1 star because of that. I'm giving them 1 star because of their processing time. 1) They have 2 processing options: Within 7 days for $20 or within 3 business days for $60. I paid the $20, mailed my kit April 28th, it arrived at the lab April 29th, stated it was "sampled" same day and 8 minutes later "submitted". It then sat until April 6th, where it said "received at lab" and then was not complete till April 14th...so I'm not quite sure how that is 7 days...it was 11 business days. 2) They offer you two sample bags, but only one mailing form, so if you don't use both samples at the same time, you can never mail the 2nd one later. So, I guess make sure that any and all samples you want are sent with the first batch.

I can only assume that they tested accurately. I have no reason to think otherwise. We used this to test some insulation board used in a finished attic and forms some kind of fiber board under our bathroom floor. Both tested as NOT Asbestos. Fairly fast results too.

Fairly simple to use! Follow the directions and you’ll not have any issues. Happy to say I’m cleared to remove the ceiling popcorn!!

The instructions were clear and helpful, making the sampling process easy. I liked that the kit included enough for 2 samples to be taken, and included a stamped return envelope to mail them to the lab. I am rating 3 stars because you have to pay for the kit and then a $20 lab fee per sample. So, we had to pay an extra $40 to process the samples.

Kit came with everything we needed except a scraper and utility knife to extract and send in a sample for asbestos sampling. There was enough for 2 samples in the kit, but we only used one. There was a (hidden on Amazon) lab fee to send the sample ($40), which was still cheaper than having it tested locally. I received an email when my sample was received on 5/22/2025, informing me that it would take 5 business days, not counting holidays. Not counting the weekend and Memorial Day, we received our results 5 days later on 5/30/2025. They were negative for asbestos, and listed the other ingredients found in our sample. Very pleased with our test kit, and would buy again.

At first I thought this was a steal compared to the other test kits here on Amazon. But then when it came I realized I have to pay a fee for the lab analysis and results. Maybe it's my fault for not reading the fine print, but I returned it to get the other kits that had at least one test included. I would've kept it if the lab fee was comparable, but with the cost of the test kit and the lab fee, it wasn't worth it.

You have to pay for the test package on Amazon and then pay again to submit the test. I never got my results even after waiting almost two weeks. RIP OFF. Do not recommend

Can't be used outside the USA, pointless selling the to someone in the UK then ??? Cost of the item is £18.47 you get a box with plastis gloves, two sample bags and a hospital mask which isn't worth as much as £18.47 plus the is a lab cost of $20 and and extra charge to send it back to the USA which you can't do it works out at current rates arount £60.00 and I have already wasted £18.47 just tofind this out and still no closer to finding out what I need to know about the samples I need testing, this is a con a great way to make money of working class people the pack you get isn't worth the £18.47 at most I could put one together for less that £5.00 what a joke at our expense. Very unhappy customer i think you should refund everyone and get this product off your site.

USA use only. Do not buy outside of America!!! You cannot get results unless you are in the USA. Ridiculous they sell this globally.
