NEW IceMeister 215lb Undercounter Flake Ice Machine

Hate it and this company is a scam.The unit broke down in 10 months of use.Tried to receive the factory warranty and it turned out like a horror.The unit didn't work at all, and got back in worse condition.When we called on the technician to take a look at, he said the machine must be refurbished one, can't think this is new one at all.Some parts are new, but some parts are really old, like 5~10 years.Further, they took more than 5 weeks to proceed in order to make it pass the year from the purchase date.Now there's nothing we could do with this unit other than leaving this kind message to prevent others from purchasing it.Be aware! You could be a lucky one to get really brand new one, but, you also could get refurbished one as I did.And Never think of getting factory warranty as they don't know how to fix it at all.

WE REPLACED A KITCHENAID 70LB ICE MAKER THAT ONLY LASTED ABOUT 6 OR 7 YEARS! WE OPTED FOR THIS MODEL OVER THE UNIT BELOW IT AS A RESULT OF A CONVERSATION WITH THE ICEMEISTER DISTRIBUTOR. HE RECOMMENDED THIS MODEL AS A MORE DURABLE OPTION, BEING THAT IT WAS MORE OF A COMMERCIAL UNIT AND THEREFORE MORE DURABLE. WE WERE VERY SURPRISED AT THE SIZE OF THE UNIT WHEN IT ARRIVED AS IT WAS A BIT LARGER THAN WE EXPECTED...HOWEVER, IT WASN'T TOO LARGE FOR OUR KITCHEN APPLICATION AND WE ARE THRILLED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE CRUSHED ICE IT MAKES! IT IS A BIT NOISER THAN WE WOULD LIKE FOR HOME USE BUT WE HAVE SINCE GOTTEN USED TO IT. WE DON'T USE THE ICE AS QUICKLY AS IT MAKES IT.... SO MUCH OF IT MELTS...I HAVE PLACED A CALL TO THE DISTRIBUTOR TWICE NOW ASKING IF THERE WAS A TEMP CONTROL FOR THE INTERIOR AND HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A REPLY. CAN SAY WE WERE OUT OF ELECTRIC FOR 4 DAYS THIS WINTER AND STILL HAD ICE WHEN THE POWER CAME BACK SO IT DOESN'T MELT AS FAST AS IT SEEMS! OVERALL WE ARE THRILLED WITH THIS UNIT....RECOMMENDED SERVICE EVERY YEAR AND WE HAVE NOT HAD IT LONG ENOUGH TO HAVE IT DONE SO CANNOT SAY HOW EASY IT IS TO FIND A SERVICE CO. FOR IT IN OUR AREA....WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS UNIT! GREAT SOFT CRUSHED ICE!
