Wicked Fun Adult Scooter, Swappable Batteries A Plus, Not So Great Hills
The media could not be loaded. I have been enjoying my Jetson Knight scooter. It’s a hoot (when the weather is mild) to ride it for short trips around town to see friends or the post office or convenience store or just fun. And it is fun.The scooter came in a pretty big box. The only assembly required was to screw on the two handles and use the included Allen wrench to tighten the brake/bell assembly. It comes with minimal directions and a charger in addition to the aforementioned handles and Allen wrench. The scooter is supposed to come with 2 batteries, but mine was missing one of them, but a phone call, a couple of emails and chat sessions and I had the missing battery on the way from Jetson. Their service was quite good and it turns out that second battery can be very useful. One of the things I like about the Knight is how it folds for easy storage, carries nicely and easily fits in the back of my car. A lot of aspects of the design are very nicely thought out. There is a headlight and taillight built in. In a after dark test run on my street I was surprised to see how well the headlight worked! The little kickstand is pretty cute and also works well.I like the display which shows speed, mode (beginner, intermediate, and expert) and charge level of the battery. It’s easy to read and provides all the essential info I need. There is a latch and the display hinges up out of the way to reveal the interchangeable battery inside the post. There is a plastic cap locking the battery in place and a quick twist releases it and the battery to lift out. There are channels on either side to make sure when inserted the battery contacts align properly. The battery can charge when installed OR happily when it’s out. Again excellent and well thought out design. This adult scooter is rated at up to 220lbs (on the Jetson site) and I’m a tall and (let’s just say) “big boned” gal who is kinda close to the rated load. To be clear, I don’t expect the performance for me to be optimal. I don’t expect 15 miles of range. I did think that 7 miles would be reasonable and if I’m riding on VERY flat routes I can come pretty close to that. When I am riding the scooter even VERY mild hills of a few degrees of incline can significantly affect performance; both in terms of speed and range. Now I get that I’m kind of an extreme case here. A hill with only about 8 degrees (estimated) of incline had me walking the scooter up the hill to cost down the other. I tried using power and supplementing by using foot power (like with the scooters of my youth), but the scooter still overloaded giving a plaintive beep and quickly draining battery. That trip got about 2.5 miles before the battery was drained. Good think I had the spare in my backpack. One thing missing from the instructions is how to change the speedometer from kph to mph. Here are the steps from the Jetson FAQ:1. Press the Power Button and Function Buttons at the same time to enter Settings Menu. The screen will display P0.2. Press the power button to enter the P0 setting.3. Press the function key once to switch from 0 (kmh) to 1 (mph).4. Press the power button to exit the P setting.5. Repeat step 1 to exit the menu.Where I live I have some flat routes to take my Jetson Knight. It’s great for those. But here in New England I’m likely to come to a hill before long. Again, I’m near the limits for this scooter and probably a worst case example. If you are in a flat land area this is a great adult scooter. If you are a slender person maybe even with gentle hills. Regardless, I’m having pure fun on this scooter – fun like one might think adults aren’t supposed to have... That’s why I’m giving the Jetson Knight 5 stars. I’m very pleased.

Loving it so far!
These things can be super expensive so I guess you can consider this a "budget priced" electric scooter. With that in mind I think this scooter is a real winner!I don't feel the need to regurgitate all the specs for the scooter than you can read on Amazon just fine by yourself. What I want to get across was just how excited my 16 year old son was with this scooter. This was a gift to him and when he set eyes on it he simply freaked out. I just crossed my fingers that it would live up to his expectations. Judging from his report after coming home from cruising around the neighborhood, it absolutely lived up to his expectations. So everything I say from here on is from him.The build quality was fantastic. So much nicer than the ones his friends were riding. Those scooters had so much more plastic parts than this one did. This one just felt more substantial. He felt the speed was more than enough for him. He never maxed it out as he was still learning and getting used to a electric scooter but it was more than fast enough to have a great time. The back breaks worked really well and didn't jerk to a stop. The ride was super smooth. So this was a big win for him, and for me as a dad. This isn't the fastest or longest lasting battery scooter on the market but this isn't priced like one either. Just a really good price for a really good scooter.

Doesn't come with 2nd battery
Be defeated and have great range anxiety! Fight with half a sword! They claimed it came with a second battery it doesn't. It was not a big fan of a gravel road and I got 2 miles of range out of it being at the top end of the capacity. Called jetson and asked about the battery said they haven't done that in years. Promotional thing as I understood it. Told me to send it back as they would not give me any support. Extra battery is as much as a second scooter.

It would be better if it had solid tires.
I think it has great power. Battery also last longer then last two scooter’s. I pull a cart with ice chest on it for fishing. I am very happy with it except for not having solid tires.

This is absolutely awesome and so much fun!!!
I have seen these scooters so much, and my neighbor has one that he zips around the neighborhood with.I got to drive his once and I was sold.So when I came across this, I was so interested, and I kept researching it as far as the brand, specifications, durability, etc.I made the decision to get this and I’m so glad I did! This thing is awesome! It has three different speeds, and so far I’m just using the beginner speed until I get used to it. But the fastest speed goes up to 20 mph, which is pretty fast when you’re on an open vehicle as opposed to inside a car.The battery is supposed to last for about 15 miles but I have not been able to test it that far yet. If for some reason it does not, I will update my review. It is made really well, very sturdy. The majority of it is made out of metal. It also has a digital readout so you can see your speed and battery life, etc.It does take a while to charge up. I think it took me 4 to 5 hours to fully charge it, but for something that requires so much battery power I guess it makes sense.Overall, this thing is so fantastic and I am loving it so much!If you’re in the market for one, this brand is awesome and I highly recommend it.I hope my review helps you to make it more well-informed decision.

The media could not be loaded. Got this product with 2 batteries an only one of them would hold a charge an give about 10-15 mins of ride time the other doesn’t even power the scooter on then after weeks of contacting jetson they could only send me a link to a new battery for 180$ each so what’s the point I might as well get a brand new scooter from a different company with higher standards I would not recommend. #moneypit
