Perfect for for my IKEA Malm 2007 Style Bedframe

We didn't attach the headboard when we originally bought our IKEA Malm bed. After we purchased a new bed and decided the Malm would be good in our guest bedroom, I was disappointed to find only some of the dowels and none of the hardware. So, I was very glad this hardware available on Amazon for quick delivery and at a better price than IKEA. The install was quick and easy, and the headboard has remained solidly in place over the past several months. As others have mentioned, the wooden dowels are not included. Your options are: (1) Purchase Part #101359 from IKEA, (2) Purchase Part #101359 from Amazon (ASIN: B0993YRCM7) https://www.amazon.com/Spare-Hardware-Parts-Replacement-Wooden/dp/B0993YRCM7, or (3) Do what I did and go to your local Big Box / Hardware Store and purchase a 7/16" X 4ft wooden dowel stock for much less. The IKEA dowels are 12mm OD X 60mm L which converts to 0.4724 X 2.36". And 7/16" is 0.4375" nom which is about 0.03" less than the hole. Cut the dowel to a bit under 2-1/2" and you're set! The dowels were a little loose (sloppy) in the hole, so I used a bit of Elmer's glue to hold them in place. You also use some paper wrapped around the dowels to take up the slop.

Do you happen to have an Ikea bed you've moved a dozen times that is now being held together by a zip tie and prayers? If you're like me, you do. Which is why I decided to grab this set of Ikea bed pieces. Because over 10 years, no matter how many times I've gone to Ikea, I have forgotten to get the free parts I need. I no longer have a bed that comes a part at the headboard and footboard. No more rocking headboard when I sit up against it. No risk of falling off the footboard when I sit on it. If you're still not ready to adult and get real furniture, this set will at least save you a trip to Ikea to get your furniture back together again.

I ordered this set to use with a non-IKEA frame and headboard. It was just what I needed to attach them together, except it wasn't. Unfortunately the holes on my setup did not align--no fault of this product. Even though I was unable to use them, I gave them five stars because it is a quality set of hardware that would be perfect for mounting a headboard to a frame (as long as the holes align!).

Good price for the hardware, but it does not include the pegs that reinforce the headboard connection to the frame.
