Excellent
I used to use colavita evoo Italian but somehow it lacked freshness. This is slightly bitter and has a strong flavour profile which shows its freshness. Love it.

Not worth four times the regular Borges EV
It is a great olive oil (by Indian market standards) but it is not worth the price premium. If you taste this version side by side with the regular Borges extra virgin olive oil (dark green bottle) you will be able to tell the difference—a little more viscous mouthfeel, a little more bitter, slightly more fruity, even the colour is a shade darker. The differences however are very subtle, and unless you are sipping olive oil just on its own, most people won’t be able to tell the difference, say, in a salad dressing, or when drizzled on a pasta, or even when mopped up with a good sourdough. I fully understand that there is a point of diminishing returns after a certain price point, so I do not expect this olive oil to taste four times better than the regular Borges EV (whose 2 L bottle costs less than 500 ml of this one). If you have tasted good olive oil before and are hoping to finally find something like that in India no matter the price, you might be disappointed.

This is the closest to buying olive oil from an olive grove
I have lived in the Mediterranean and used to buy olive oil from the local farmers market. On a few occassions, my Arabic roommate who owned an olive orchard back home had some EVOO shipped over. In short, I know how EVOO is supposed to look, smell, taste and behave. This is the closes you are going to get to organic EVOO produced in small batches.First off, the bottle is beautiful, reminds me of a wine bottle. The packaging is stellar and the mouth of the bottle has a plastic dispernser which allows for a better control on dispensing. You can pour directly out the bottle. The color is deep green, the consistency is thick, and the flavor fills up the kitchen. I usually dress my salad with this. Once I dipped some bread in this oil and took a bite of it and it immediately reminded me of my stay in the Mediterranean. The only thing I miss is the little bits of the olive grounds that remain suspended in the oil packaged by small farmers because they don't necessarily filter it as well as large manufacturers. If you want a taste of the Mediterranean, this is highly recommended.

Doubtful
Mfg and expiry not printed on the bottle. It’s there on the box but the box seemed to be old and torn.
