From Fan to Follower: A Call to True Discipleship
In "Not a Fan Updated and Expanded," Kyle Idleman invites readers to reevaluate their relationship with Jesus and the essence of true discipleship. With a candid and relatable approach, Idleman reflects on his personal journey from being merely a fan of Jesus—someone who enjoyed the comforts of faith without full commitment—to becoming a devoted follower willing to embrace sacrifice and deeper connection. This updated version of the bestselling book retains its powerful core message while introducing new insights, including a fresh introduction and an entirely new chapter that offers practical applications for living out the principles of the book. Idleman emphasizes that many want to enjoy the benefits of a relationship with Jesus without delving into the demands that come with true discipleship. Through engaging anecdotes, scriptural references, and a sprinkle of humor, he challenges readers to confront their beliefs and ask essential questions about the authenticity of their faith."Not a Fan" serves as a valuable resource for Christians at any stage of their spiritual journey, empowering them to move beyond complacency by examining their commitments and encouraging them to take actionable steps in their walk with Christ. Whether you are seeking personal growth or looking for ways to engage in group discussions, Idleman's thought-provoking insights provide the perfect foundation for a transformative faith experience. This compelling call to discipleship urges readers to not just follow rules, but to follow Jesus wholeheartedly and authentically.

Test yourself
This book was the beginning of big changes in my life. He talks about things I was thinking but no one talks about outside of church walls. No one I knew seemed to take following Jesus seriously and no one really talked about Him if we weren't at church. I first bought this for a Sunday School study in 2017. I listened to it on audible, which I highly advise even if you get a hard copy. There's something powerful in the author reading this message the way it's meant to be heard. My copy today is covered in underlines and marked pages. This is one of my top favorite books next to the bible.

A good book
I read this with a Bible study group at church. At first I was turned off by the tone of the writing. But during our meetings we would watch the companion videos that were made before we discussed what we had read. Those made a big difference for me. I felt the videos helped round out the message. It is a good book, and one that challenges you to reevaluate where you stand with Jesus. Sometimes in our walk with Him that’s a necessary thing. I would recommend this book, but also recommend watching the videos as well. I’ve seen them on YouTube.

Live in the Truth, Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life
Not a fan, is truly an eye opening and heart clarifying picture of what it looks like to believe in Jesus versus really following Jesus. This book has made a real difference in my life. It will do the same for you.

A must read !
One of the best Christian books I have ever read. I wish I had read this as a teenager. Very eye opening to everything you’ve ever been taught about being a Christian. Gets to the heart of Christianity and exposes the simplicity and purity of being a follower of Christ. Buckle up, your Christian walk is going to get turned right side up.
