Won't work with M1 Mac and old Apple Display
Tried to use this with dock and without on old Apple Cinema display. I believe the issue is related to HDCP as it detected the monitor but displayed only black screen. Product works fine from Windows PC but not M1 Mac.

Solid piece of hardware
I needed something to share my DVI connection for a single monitor. This did the trick. It’s solidly built and didn’t switching cleanly. It wasn’t pricey either.

The remote needs fixing
I use this switch box to select one of two computer digital DVI outputs to drive my 1280x1024 75Hz monitor - that aspect is working fine, so far. I power the switch box with a USB-A wall-wart charger and a USB-A to USB-C cable, That works fine as well. An old cell phone charger will probably work. However, my "remote" needed a fix, and yours might as well, which is why I gave that aspect 2 stars. The remote is not wireless/radio, and that's fine with me, no batteries needed. The remote is a push-button switch connected by a 57 inch long 1/8th inch diameter flexible cable to another USB-C plug, which plugs into the 3 x 2.3 x 0.9 inch switch box, working in parallel with the button on top of the box.The remote had a problem - the electrical switch was loose inside the housing, so the elastomer push-button cover was wedged into the housing and jammed. Either poor design, or (more likely) a shim was missing from the assembly (poor production design).I fixed my remote by pulling the push-button cover out of the housing, manipulating the switch into the proper position with narrow forceps, then wedging a carved 2 millimeter wooden dowel (handle of an old cotton swab) through an opening in the housing opposite the cable. That holds the switch in place so the cover pushes the button correctly. My guess is that a plastic shim is /supposed/ to go into that open hole, and it fell out or was left out during factory assembly. Black on black, probably difficult to quickly inspect/QC at the factory.Anyway, the remote is deployed, and reaches back to where the electronic switcher box "tees" with the DVI male-to-male cables from the computers. Unclutters my desktop, and well designed for my use-case. I can't say whether this device also works as a DVI splitter, but that seems likely. So ... buy this digital DVI switch if you don't need the remote, or you are handy enough to fix it. I hope the manufacturer reads this and improves the inspection process. Perhaps use a different black plastic for the shim that glows in UV light.

no issues for intended use
Day one: Working perfectly. Plug & play right out of the box - Two computer sources taking turns using the same monitor.Only time will tell as to reliability. Will edit review if necessary.

Single link DVI switch
Does not support 2500x1600 resolution. Will only support about half that resolution. This is a single link DVI switcher being falsely advertised as a dual link DVI switcher. Used 3 good, dual link DVD-D cables and only works for single link resolution.
