Pleased with these!
I bought the 20 x 12” warming plate to use for Thanksgiving because I want to simplify and am tired of bothering with Sterno pots. I liked it so much, that I bought another one to have two for Thanksgiving. I tested both of the warming plates beforehand to avoid discovering anything unexpected on Thanksgiving day. Here is what I learned:The seller advertises these as 20 x 12”. That is the size of the heated portion of the surface—the actual dimensions of the flat surface are about 1” larger all the way around, plus the size of the handles. The surface is just like those black glass cooktops—sleek and good-looking.There is an on/off toggle switch on the side of each warming plate—you CANNOT adjust the temperature. To test the temperature, I put identical UNcovered Corning ware casserole dishes on each warming plate, filled with cool water. It took a LONG time (e.g. an hour) for the water inside the casserole dishes to heat up. With lids on, the contents heat up MUCH faster. TIP: Heat the food first, then use these warming plates to keep it warm. Whenever possible, use lids on the food. After allowing the covered casserole dishes to heat on both warming plates for an hour, the temperature of the water in both was 170 degrees—much less than the seller’s stated “up to” 203 degrees—but still plenty warm enough for food without drying it out. When I removed the lids, the temperature quickly dropped to 140 degrees. A reminder to keep the lid ON the food whenever possible to retain heat. The cords are only 40”, so you may need an extension cord. Since these have 3 prongs, you may need a special extension cord or power strip that handles that. Regular lamp extension cords don’t work because they are for 2 prong cords.Overall, these are sleek, good looking, and work well. Be prepared to buy a power strip or 3 prong extension cord (with a multi-end if you are using more than one of these warming plates). Keep your foods covered to heat and retain heat more effectively.I am really happy with these and do recommend them.I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases because I read reviews myself and appreciate how helpful they can be. I hope that my review helped you!

Perfect for a buffet
This saved me. I needed something not to big for a bar set up and this was perfect. Fit 2 9x13 pans perfectly sat firmly on the counter. The lasagna and dip stayed nice and warm without any issue. You just flip it on and don't worry about it. Great value and it workes perfectly.

Looks good, keeps food warm
We use a hot plate to keep food warm (and sometimes reheat) on Shabbat (the Jewish sabbath). Not having a temperature adjustment is a plus for that purpose. The amount of heat generated seems to be well calibrated for this purpose. The unit does not heat up that quickly when plugged in, which leads me to believe that its energy consumption is acceptable. Once it has reached operating temperature it's at a good temperature and the surface seems evenly hot (I didn't map temperature). Fold a towel over a casserole for insulation, and it would warm up nicely.I was concerned with the length of the cord. It's 37" long. Taking where it's attached into consideration, it can reach 33" when going across the shorter side, 20" across the longer side.

Stylish hotplate
I love this Shabbat plata. It looks super stylish and easy to clean (just don't use any scraping sponges I did use and it made some scratches) It becomes hot super fast. The size is a bit small but it's ok for us now. I have extra plata in case I need more food to warm.A bit pricey but overall satisfied with this product.

Best One Yet!
I bought two of these for holiday gatherings to keep food hot. Too simplify things, I purchased disposable food tins and cooked all my sides in them. They went directly from the oven to the nutrichef, it was quick, painless, and the food was kept hot. I used them once for Thanksgiving and I will use them again for Christmas Dinner. Clean up was a breeze, I waited until they were cooled off completely and wiped with a damp cloth. They are low profile and easy to store. They are way easier than my old meal "divided food heaters" that you can't put in the oven to the table...not to mention the nutrichef was far superior not only in ease, design, but also temperature. Will be purchasing one or two more, highly recommended!

Great product, great price!
Great warming tray. I used this warming tray this past Thanksgiving. It was able to hold 2 11 by 9 dishes side by side. It kept everything warm for hours. It’s very easy to use since there is only an on/off switch. Be aware, there is no adjustment for temperature on this model. I personally loved this warming tray and have ordered a second one for Christmas!

East to use. Gets Hot.
This lid a sleek design. Easton use. Just plug it in and turn the switch on. Gets hit in minutes. Unfortunately, I returned it due to a dent on the side. I will order it again.
