Using for old 70s Flashlight!
So, I have an old 70s flashlight that uses a bent plastic lense that ended up breaking. I had an old one of these that was scratched up that had been passed down to me ages ago, and it worked even better so I knew i had to jump onto finding new ones. This worked perfectly. It only needed a slighty bit of trimming to fit, now the thing gives off like unlike ever before! The second one I use more for its actual use as a magnifier, and am curious how it might work if used in a solar cooker!Well made, sturdy plastic with good flexibility

The better product!
The Opticlens product is superior to MagAids of similar description. It magnifies clearly.

Absolutely worthless AND they lie!!!
Bought these to read very small print in several books that I own. When they arrived there was a strip of paper across one of the lens claiming, "As described in the Amazon listing, these lenses must be raised at least 1 inch above the surface you are magnifying...". So I went back to the product listing and absolutely nowhere is this mentioned in any way, shape or form! Further, they don't magnify at all if the lens is resting directly on a sheet of paper. Further, even if you try to raise them above whatever it is that you're trying to read, they're so flimsy that the edges and sides constantly fold over distorting the type below the lens. Net, they're totally worthless, but at only $7.00 hardly worth the time and effort to repackage them and drive them over to the nearest Whole Foods and back home. Totally worthless and into the garbage they'll go!!! michaelpaul50
